I have nothing bad to say about Gails as far as a harly dealorship But I do not want to go out there and find what Tripper found NOTHING BUELL, Central has made a great effort and realy deserves the Buell rights. I am probably have bought my last Buell since Buell doesn't care about us! They havn't listened to us just the marketing people from Harley that know little about the sport bike market and are failing miserably at advancing the Buell line. Eric was better at it that they are, I wish he would stop listening to them and use his own natural wisdom and do it right for a change. |

Glad your in Paul. You know my feelings on Unions and I know yours. Done with that. I still owe ya a Hooters lunch, and a dinner for hauling my crap down the stairs! Hey Scott, when you want to buy an expensive tester who approves it? Now think about Erik Buell asking to launch a new Thunderbolt. Not as easy as it used to be for him. Anyway, getting back to the topic of having a BRAG club in KC. I've received some (very little) feedback via email and here, and based on that I am going to invite the Customer Relations Manager and HOG director from Gail's HD to our Nov 18 meeting to provide us a presentation. After that we will decide how we intend to move forward, or allow our charter to expire on 1/31/05. I can see alot more activity in our future, and the complaints about lack of organized rides might be inverted by this time next year. Too many rides? Ha! Test me.... |

>>>all we can do is ask them ,Gail's, to get that stuff also Do me a favor and try one of my old tricks. Go in and ask nicely. Sounds silly, but I'll bet if you are polite, share your concern, offer your advise on the types of things you want, that you might be surprised. Few people in the selling business don't want to. Give it a shot and let me know. If you encounter problems, let me know. I am not above an "Emergency Visit" and Mom just bought a new house today. Court |

Court, the list of recommended stock... daily consumables and tipover stuff... is that a list that Buell has somewhere in Wisconsin, or is it a Court special? If if exists, I need a copy for this effort to grow a Buell dealer we are embarking on. our next meting is 11/18. Let me know if your in the area of Shawnee. |

I was wondering if anyone went on the toys for tots ride sunday morning? I found out about it on the news last night. I wish we had some way of knowing about these kind of rides, Bill and his wife went on a 110 mile ride with me Sunday afternoon through a few twists and turns and we had a nice time. I wish we could find a way to get better organized so we could get together for more rides. does anyone have any sugestions the club could use to help? |

Trip: Let me start checking and see if I can find it. There were 3 lists, based on Buell sales volume and velocity (inventory turns) of the parts. Of note is that the #1 part was a $.37 something. Drop me a note with your contact info and we'll visit. If I don't have the list, I can get someone in Milwaukee to prepare one and I would be happy to work with your dealer in any way (and yes, I will come there to visit with them) I can to ensure their Buell experience is fun and profitable. Scott; send an email describing future rides, or any club related event to KCBuellers@yahoo.com. I will then forward it to the list which contains our club plus other area Buellers. In the future, perhaps a newsletter? One of the possible benefits of a new BRAG alignment. How 'bout a website? Check out http://www.brewcitybrag.org/index.php or this, except with a BRAG heading: http://www.gailsharleydavidson.com/miscpage_006.asp?sid=5024356E-02X11K9K2004J10 I07I36JAMQ1068R0 Derek suggested something like this a year ago. Maybe it's time to do it. |

All Buell clothing, gloves, and helmets are 20% off in stock items only. No discount on hard parts (yet). Also 20% off of ICON items in stock. More to follow as I'm informed. (THIS SUCKS!) |

Zeus, will they let us spend "central bucks" on any of this stuff? Like maybe a one time exemption on what they can be used for.... I have been saving mine for when they got some Buell shirts with "central HD" on them......doesn't look like that will be happening I stopped in at the new store (Gail's) yesterday and it definitely looks nice. I wonder where they are gonna get customers to pay for all that. Dennis, it was good seeing you last night, take care of yourself and I didn't see any M&M's over there.....you must be broke! hahahaha |

M&Ms are for rich people! I have some Central Bucks to use too! I did not croak during the tests... but I walked out... and walked out is good... not knowing any results. I guess the cardiologist has to look at all the data. I asked my buddy the paramedic if he did any picked-up on people doing treadmill tests. He said he had pick up a few that had heart attacks during the test. I asked the tech... "So this test is kinda like running an old engine hard... and if it doesn't blow up... it is still OK?" They responded... "Well, I would not put it that way... but you have a point. Please don't "blow up" during the test Mr. Sapp!" Basically they started an IV, then they put some nuke medicine "dye" in my blood stream. They then put me on an x-ray machine that rotated me around for about 17 minutes to get a 3-d image of my heart, enhanced by the nuke meds. Then they put me on a treadmill to get my heart rate up as high as safely possible. At that moment, as I am still trotting along on the treadmill they put more nuke meds in with my heart rate up. They stop me... let me sit for a few minutes... then do the x-ray thing again. All the time checking blood pressure and running an EKG. They asked me about chest pains during the treadmill... I responded... "The pain in my knees has exceeded my minor chest pains when you elevated and sped up the tread mill!" If I knew I was gonna live this long... ida' took better care of myself! Tip for the day... if someone tells you running is good for you... hit them with a telephone book! That is what beat the out of my knees... and oh yeah... soon after my knees started screaming at me on the tread mill... my hips soon joined in. DON'T RUN... unless there is something to run from!!! Not as bad as I thought it was going to be... I guess I will know something by next Friday when I go back to check my liver function to make sure the cholesterol meds I am on is not causing liver damage! |

Well we are going to be sponsored by Gails. I am personally skeptical. I won't support price gouging. I am about the bike and the club. I will reluctantly give her a shot. Topeka HD Buell is the king just so far away. We'll see. |

Since our charter is evaporating due to the loss of our sponsoring dealer, we have agreed to submit a new application with Gail's HD as the sponsor. They have shown great enthusiasm to get this BRAG chapter rolling and exciting things are in the works. Sponsoring a BRAG group is one task and is going well. How well they treat a Buell customer is a seperate task which they have been addressing internally. If they want external help, and it has been offered, we as a group of consumers can offer them much. I have offered to them that we will convene a group of well spoken Buellers to express our desires and express what a great Buell dealer needs to do. Court has offered to be one of those resources. I sense enthusiasm internally, it is up to us to press them gently and tactfully towards improvement. Toward that end I have been invited to another meeting at the dealership today. Changes implemented at last nights meeting for 2005: Club Name: American Heartland Club (will probably be commonly referred to as American Heartland BRAG, but don' tell BRAG). 2005 Officers: Director: Dave Tripp Asst Director: Chris Sylva Secretary: Loren Mock Treasurer: Sam Minnich Thanks to Jeff Griswold and Frank Knoble for serving the first 18 months and getting this rolling. Much more happening, I hope your all getting the emails and reminders. Check out BREWCITYBRAG.ORG and tell me if you like it. We have an offer to team up on this site. Also, I NEED NEWSLETTER CONTENT. Who can write? HELP! |

Dave you would be a great person to advise them in this change. They are not in tune. You know how it works from their side of things. Tripper lets see what we can do to implement Mr. Daves valuable input to this endeavor. I personally want to speak to Gail my self about this stuff. I just don't really like this Idea of them sponsoring us. Why have they not done any thing before now? That says to me how on board you really are. Hummmm. |

Well they say change is good... I'm with Bill on this one, personally skeptical. We will go forward and see how it gels together. They have a nice new dealership and now are the only Buell brand in town. I was in the dealership last Saturday and approached by a salesman. His stand on the Buell's was... "Well you have to admit the Harley people just have not embraced the Buell's"! I smiled and told him that he was most likely the person who could change that. I'm not sure he got it? Our discussion started to break down as he moved away from me and as he did replies ... that they were good bikes... We will see... |
