Actually CJ, I can't go because my teaching job starts that Monday from 6-8 p.m. and I will miss the second class on Wednesday because I'm going to Vegas! Not a good idea to miss the whole first week. I don't think it will be a whole lot of sun, the average december temperature is 45. Not cold by any means but not necessarily pool weather. Now when I was there in March, avg. 56, they set a record with a day in the 90's and the rest were in the 70's and up!!! |

I know you were kidding. It will be a fun trip. Probably our last husband/wife trip for a while, since the negotiations on another child (tax deduction)have begun! I would have never thought myself a teacher either. My current boss was one of my professors (part time)in college. During his last year I got the opportunity to co-teach one of the courses with him. It went well and they have asked me to teach a different course this year. |

Oh, allrightey then. I guess since I haven't really followed football since when the LosAngeles Rams were still in LosAngeles I glossed over the mention of the NotInLosAngeles Rams. At least the GreenBayPackers are still in GreenBay. Let's see, somebody mentioned something about the WorldSeries, so it must be near the end of the baseball season, football is playing now so it must be near the beginning of the football season, it's near the end of October so the golf season is over, so is bicycling except for muddy mountain biking, hockey seems to be played year round somehow but I assume the main hockey season is about to begin, I don't watch polo - water or horse - so I don't know if it's polo season, there's bound to be a few other seasons I've missed in there somewhere. But it's always coffee season so I'll just go back to sipping my cup of coffee and sidestep out of this discussion now............... |

That was a good one Steve. Good Luck CJ.....my Dad and Step Mom both quit after years of smoking (I think my step mom was close to 25 years of smoking). They have been smoke free for a year and a half now!! This didn't have anything to do with what my daughter told you did it???? Mikej.........there is no NHL season this year. The owners locked out the players(I think that is how it went). The season was supposed to start a couple of weeks ago. |

This seems to indicate they're playing again: http://nhl.com/onthefly/schedules/index.html Did somebody unlock the rinks/arenas, or are they still not playing. No cable tv at home so I have no idea. ===== wait, hmmmm, the listed scores are all 0-0. 'scuse me now, I think I'll just do a bellyflop into my coffee cup now..... cannonballllllllll (Message edited by mikej on October 28, 2004) |

Thanks guys, not sure I will be successful, but haven't had any since last Thursday, pretty cranky now !! Wasn't your daughter Kinger, but it sure did help for her to point that out !! More the knowledge that my son is coming here for a visit in November before being assigned to Japan !! So I'm excited, but I can't smoke around him he won't understand and yeah he'll NAG !!! I never smoked when they were growing up, last time he came with his g/f I didn't smoke then either, he ran across a lighter and grilled me about it, but I claimed it was for the candles !!! Had no idea how it got in the car!! LOL CJ Mikej, you just kill me !!! |

Nah, cigarettes kill ya, I just make you smile once in awhile. Keep up the quitin', it's a good thing. And in about a month when you put a dart into your mouth and light the fletching on fire without even thinking about it just be glad you're not a bowler 'cause it's hard to get a bowling ball in your mouth, let alone light one.

Hmmm, nobody wants to admit it...thats ok, I know where your seats are I actually managed to score a hotel room...but not in Greenbay...they are all booked up & have no room at the inn for baby jesus. But the Days Inn in Neenah has rooms. They are just south of Appleton so that works out great. |

Got probably a 90% confirmation that one of the regionally local Harley shops will be dropping the Buell line. I don't read much here about any of the posting Buell owners going there so it will probably be only a small impact to the local Buell riders. It will be interesting to see what happens next June or so though. They did have a nice used FLH in stock though. But no interest in Buells and not close enough on pricing to talk further. So it goes. Oh well, back to getting beat up with keyboards for a bit, at least until after tomorrow. |

Not a huge surprise. someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the only ones that seem to be moving Buells is Hal's and Ukes. House of Harley has a few on the floor. A couple of used ones last time I was there about a month ago. A pretty sweet lookin' Blue '00 S3T to boot. Never been to that dealer out in Thiensville, and never heard of anyone who bought one there. If I had to guess ONE dealership being dropped in the area, it would be that one. |

REMINDER: November's Brew City Brag meeting is going to be at the Speed Shop at Hal's on Thursday November 11th, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. and Sr Luna (mexican) will provide food for those in attendance. Anyone interested in coming to the meeting, please post or e-mail me and let us know so we have a good headcount to make sure there is enough Sr Luna's to go around ! CJ |

Suburban moves a few Buells as well, not a lot but apparently enough to keep a decent inventory of them and enough for them to still deal on tubers some as well. But they are getting very soft on taking in 'tubers on trade based solely upon one recent visit there. Suburban does have a relatively decent inventory of parts though. (edit: Suburban is the shop in Thiensville.) I believe Milwaukee HD also moves a few Buells out the door. And it's neither of those I that I was referring to. Maybe new ownership at some of the local dealerships will have a new effect on how things eventually go in the near-term future. I'm guessing by mid-August the initial shake-out will be completed and phase 2(?) can begin, assuming it hasn't already. (Message edited by mikej on November 01, 2004) |

Mike...You trying to say West Bend and Hartford are giving up on Buell? That is about all that is left that isn't related in one way or another. |

Milwaukee HD also has Buells...although I have never seen them sell one personally & have never met anyone who has bought one from there. But my guess would be either West bend or House of Harley. My money is on the House. |
