It's been a long time since I've posted here on the Badweb but it's time to re visit an event that has continued for 20 years. The event started as Blue Groove Northwest where so many of us in the northwest met through Buell motorcycles. The following year SPLASH (Sport Lap Around Saint Helens) was conceived by Jerry Houghton. 20 years have passed and many brands of motorcycles are ridden by the original group plus a bunch of great people who have joined us through the years. The event has morphed out of the Saint Helens area to all over the northwest as the original routes are degraded. We still see up to 25 people a year attend and this year we are holding the ride in Fortuna California, June 1st 2nd & 3rd. I'm posting this here in an attempt to reach people that may have been before and want to reconnect. I will add information if there is any interest. |
