To the AZ crowd. FASTER is playing here in Phoenix this weekend. Anyone want to figure out how to hook up and go? Maybe do that for Saturday night if Liz and Charlie are up for it? Wycked, Ummm I think so I'll give you a call tom. so you can refresh my mem. I really want to see that documentary so that sounds like a good plan. I'll run it by Ski and give you a call. Is you Cell # different? The # you called me from was different. I'll just try that one if I don't get you... |

David - Glad to hear your back for a while . Will you be around next weekend? As I recall there will be a ride up here probably through Bahgdad again, then to Prescott. We'll probably get lunch here and then figure out where to go. I think Kobie suggested we take Hwy 260 so maybe that's the route? Anyway, when are you leaving? |

Hey you Phoenicians! I've accepted an opportunity in Phoenix and will soon be employed there! I won't be moving right away but will commute from Tucson. Once I get tired of the commute, which shouldn't take long, I'll be a full time Phoenix boy. Jeez...I guess I'll need to change my profile. Have we figured out this coming weekend yet? I may not be able to attend because of this big change, but I will try my hardest. Post any ideas, times, dates, etc... Bart, how are you son? Are you almost up and running? How are you feeling? Drop me a line! Wycked, how's the clutch/tranny? |

Up in the air Brian. After paying bills the moths have invaded the wallet. I won't know the tranny condition til I get a clutch put back in. Maybe if you can sweet talk Al into loaning me the X1 for a while....looks for the Oliver Twist smilie |

Brian, I'm getting better everyday! Thanks for asking. I'm looking for work, and working under the table installing home theater and surround sound systems for a buddy of mine. Rode this weekend for the first time in 2 months, Damn it felt good. Bike still isn't right yet. Mikel helped me replace the Stator, but I broke the clutch cable right where it goes into the primary and it's puking oil there now. I've got wads of teflon tape around it right now, just so I can ride, LoL. Not sure if I can ride this weekend, may have to work... Gotta make up for lost wages, ya know what I mean? Mikel, Can we try your cable on the S1? Give me a ring sometime, I'll be home in the evenings. Also, I can probably get you a job installing if you wish, need tools, transportation, and a phone... Ping me. BBB |

OK, Now I feel sheepish... When I left Ski's house for Yuma yesterday my bike would not downshift! So I dropped it at Chandler Harley and Ski, bless his heart, loaded Eliz's bike into his truck and took our butts home. Thanks a million man, I owe you one! Well, I just got a call from Chandler. It seems someone adjusted the shift linkage out so far that the little tierod bar was bumped up against the primary case, thus, no downshift. Remember us adjusting that all the way out before I took off Ski? God this sucks! Why do my feet have to be so big! Looks like my only solution to have the lever fit properly is to make a custom little curved tierod, or go to reverse shift like Ski did. That's probably what I'll do. |

Charlie, you can cut the shift lever, and reweld it with a bend in it to accommodate those big feet of yours. After the weld and bend process, you can polish it up with a dremel and some mothers polish good enuff so nobody would notice the mod. Just my 2 cents worth. Sorry I missed everyone this weekend, hope y'all had a good time. I managed to squeeze in a ride up through Payson, Showlow, down through the salt to Globe, Superior and back into the valley. All in all a great ride, the trees are starting to change colors, and the traffic was light. Only problem was the oil leak. Need to get that cable replaced. Ski, how long are you going to be in town? Drop me an email when you can. Bart |

Speaking of rides.......... Everyone up for a ride this weekend? Here is the plan. Meet at the Chevron station on I 17 / 74 Saturday morning and leave at 8AM. Ride to Wickenburgh, up 89n to Prescott (no Bagdad this time) meet/gas/leave Prescott about 10AM and ride to Jerome for lunch. Ride from Jerome across 260 to Camp Verde, Strawberry and to Payson. Hang out in Payson for however long. Northern riders can cut back across 260 back home the rest of us can come back down to Phoenix/East valley through Fountain Hills. Should take the most part of the day. So. Who's in? What do you guys think of the route? Any better ideas? |

Unfortunately Charlie, I can't make it. In fact I'm up in the air for this weekend. Since I start commuting back and forth to Phoenix this week, it's going to be tough on my family. I'm crashing at my buddy's Wednesday night, start work Thursday, spending the night, working Friday, and heading home Friday night. It'll be hard for me to ride back up Saturday morning and pull another marathon til 7 at night again. Okay sue me...I'm a puss! Here's a pic Al sent me of his latest love affair! He's hunting this weekend, so won't be joining you either.

I'm in for the Saturday ride, me and my S2 are just iching to ride more than just around the block. Anyone coming up from Tucson way can meet me in Chandler, I live near I-10 and have a spare bedroom for anyone that does not want to ride back to Tucson after long day's ride. |

Charlie, Damn sorry about that Bro, you should have just turned around and came back to my house so we could have figured that out. How much did that cost you?? Kobie, Thanks, hopefully my wife will be ok. Carey, Don't abuse her to much this weekend, I still have my eye on her. Bart, Not sure how long I will be in town for, I just requested a humanitarian transfer/attachment to the Reserve Center here in Phoeniz, Could be up to 6 months or as little as 30 days depending on what the Doctors find out.
