Maybe I'll head up the night before. I got a buddy that lives in Maricopa that I need to go visit. Either way...I'll be there! |

I don't remember a chevron on Carefree highway near the intersection. I know the lot at the intersection is vacant, its where street vendors set up. I know there is a station next to McDonalds East of I17 on Deer Valley Rd. Anyway pick a spot, pick a time, I'm going as of now, will post late Friday if something changes. |

Bill, There has been a ton of construction in that area lately. Trust me. There is a gas station about 1/4 mile east of I-17. 99% sure it's a Chevron. It's located right on the corner of a big shopping center. |

OK. Just so we don't leave anyone. Who is going to meet at the Chevron station at I-17 / Carefree Hwy.? Kickstands up no later than 830am. Who are we meeting in Wickenburgh? I guess we'll decide on a route when we get to Wick. |

We'll make an effort Jim. Glad you're doin' alright . You'll be meeting me in Wickenburg. What time do you guys think you'll be there? Mikel said that Wick is about 30-40 minutes from that Chevron? 9:00 then? |

From that Chevron its more like 45 to an hour. My house is 30-40 from Wickenburg. JWZ we should hook up sometime now that I am back in Phoenix. Speaking of people dropping off the bad web, anyone heard from Art? I spoke to him last week and he was in Tuscan, but I haven't heard from him since... |

I am still alive. It has been a rough week, the loss of a good friend really put me in the dumps. this disability is starting to get to me also. It's rough not being able to do the things you love. Couldn't ride if I wanted to anyway, the S1 is still down. Y'all have fun. |

Wycked, we WILL get down to your part of the world, as soon as we can. the riding budget for this year is almost used up, with just Oktoberfast to go before a long winter's sleep. (or what passes for a winter's sleep here in the sunny southwest, eh? ) me 'n D plan on doing all the touring we can in the coming months and years, and we're counting on some most excellent guided tours down your way. |

Guys...I'll be staying in Maricopa tonight. Ya think it'll cut about an hour of my ride time in the morning? I would think if I left Maricopa around 7:00 that I'd be at the Chevron by 8:00... Bart...you hang in there brother! Won't be long til your back with the rest of us Buelligans! |

Wycked, It depends on how you ride. Bart, Sorry to hear about your friend. Baby steps man. You and the bike will get better. Brian, The earlier you get there, the more riding time we will have. |

Brian, You can stay at my place if you like. I'm just off the I-17, about 20 minutes from the meeting point. I have plenty of floor space. thanks for the kind words, my friends, It does cheer me up some. Wish I could go riding with ya. Jerry, the funds are real tight now, disability doesn't pay much, tough just trying to make the bills. I certainly won't be able to afford to come to OctoberFast, even if I had a bike to ride. Unibear, Thanks for the offer. You are too kind... |

First, I would like to REALLY thank M1/Don for having enough trust in me to loan me his bike. 2nd to BillC thanks for the arrangements to go get my bike tommorrow. Kobe and Brian if you guys can email me the fullsize shots of the damage I would really appreciate it. Guys I am starting to think the trans is locked in fourth, I am thinking that because I remember just before I hit the gravel trying to down shift and the lever not moving, which I think is also part of the reason for the lay down. Got some soreness cropping up, nice bruise on my chest and on the outside of my thigh just above the knee. Guess we proved that the frame sliders are good for atleast lowspeed 30mph gravel slides. I am glad everyone still had a good time and thanks for letting the gimp keep up. Oh and sorry about smoking you guys out with burnt clutch. |

Made it to Tucson in one piece...rolled in around 7:30. That's kinda close to 4:00 isn't it? Dang it was dark! (Only had the tinted sheild with me...ooops!) Wycked, you'll have your pics in the mornin'. Sorry 'bout the lay down. Scared me coming over that blind hill and seeing your bike down! I'm glad it's not near as bad as it could've been. Other than that gents, I had a helluva day! M1 you are a top notch guy helping Wycked out like that. You too Bill! Just shows how these badwebbers look out for each other. Kobie, you da man! Thanks for leading the way. Another great ride! Chat with you guys later. B |

A couple of things Southern, at the moment I am going to keep quiet but say I had a lowside at the edge of the road. I have been rethinking what happened now that it is well passed and need to wait until I can verify it on the bike, but I think part of the problem was the trans locked in 4th, cause I remember trying to downshift and the lever not moving and I glanced down when I hit the gravel, faster then I expected I might add. |

Hey, sorry to wait so late to post... No problem Mikel. I'm just glad you came out of it OK. I second the heck out of the "that was a great ride" sentiment. I think I'll be running that road between Kirkland and Baghdad more often. A person could have a TON of fun on that road if they knew it real well. Thanks for taking us up there Kobie . Mikel - Do you have any idea when you might be up here tomorrow? I should be here all day. I assume you and Bill will trailer your bike back down to Phx? |
