It was good to get out. I wish I hadn't had to leave as Cameron pulled in. This was one of those times where the best therapy is friends. Thanks Larry I want to say more but don't know how. |

Silver Bullet, the one I was talking about last night is at American Sport Bike. I keep getting an error when I try to post the link, but it wasn't too hard to find. Here's what you're looking for, it's the new design.

They are releasing Michael now/ today/ tonight and he is SOOOO freakin' happy. I had to bring my bike home and get my Jeep. They should have him ready to go by the time I take a shower and get back to the hospital. |

A4TR - Thanks for the good news. Would Michael like some visitors or is he in need of some quiet time after being poked and prodded in the hospital? |

Michael will probably be up for visitors in a couple days. I'll let you all know where he is when he gets settled. Right now he's at his Mom's house but I dunno if that is where he is going to stay or not. I hope all is well with Pete- I have been keeping him in my thoughts and prayers through all of this. I have a new neighbor who is moving in this weekend. Apparently he is the on who flew the helicopter that took Pete from the accident scene to Johnson City. I was stunned, I didn't think to ask if he flew him to Atlanta or not. Small Small world!!!! |

I have spent enough time in this group looking for info on Mike and Pete that I feel like I know you all now. So I thought I would say hello. I live in Raleigh, NC, but I have liked Stone Mtn ever since I stumbled across the laser show in the park when I was in high school. Been back several times since then. Walked up the rock a few times, sometimes with my daughter on my shoulders. Thats a bit of work :-) |

Glitch you have mail. I tried to pour the mold for the air intake. This is my final piece of CF until I can remove the rear tire to get to the hugger. It broke during removal of stock piece. I had to mutilate the cast but I believe I can save the mold with some mods. THis is a tough one so it might take some time until it is complete. I believe I have no choice but to use the Force! I spoke with the Wife and Sister on Sat while watching the Georgia game. GO DAWGS!!! I convinced them to do joint X-mas gift that will consist to an aftermarket Exhaust!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying to get a number for Latus Motors but cannot. Need help Glitch! Is it December yet? This is gonna be a long 3 months. |

Jim, don't be a stranger. Next time you're down this way. Let us know, we'll show you the side of the Metro Area only locals know about. B_S, Help If you've got two people buyin' it for you, and I were you, I'd be calling Daves, and puttin' my order in for a D&D. I could always coast down the street a little before I cranked 'er up!

We probably should try to have a couple people go down to talk to DOna and let her and Cycle Gear know in person what happened to the event. they were so gracious and supportive. Dave did you forward that info to Cameron? |

B_S , Glitch - Is there a way to get the grips off the handlebar or do I have to cut them off, in particular the left one? Yes, my new bar just arrived. I bought the Bikemaster European chrome and will have them powder coated or painted black as soon as I make sure I like the bar. |

I had to cut mine off. Replacements are cheap at Cycle Gear. I saw some grips that were yellow and black that would go good on your bike. |

I have the grips that Glitch is talking about except they are black and grey. I think they were $7. Much softer than stock. With the lower bars I was getting a lot more vibration. I think it was more because I was putting more weight on the bars from the postion not actually more vibration. I just filled the bars with silicon and it reduced it by 50%. Make sure that your clutch isn't at an angle to the grip. It will mess up the fuel pump sensor on the clutch. (Message edited by black_sunshine on October 04, 2004) |

No, I didn't. I forgot all about it. Well $hit- Cameron left town and it is becoming obvious that no one has been called to cancel Sportike Appreciation day. Between working and taking care of Michael I don't have time to call these people and do it. I don't want to make our club look bad with these participants but I just can't take on any more. I talked to Lori Becker and she had me email the list to Michael at the dealership so hopefully it will get taken care of. If any of you guys get a free moment and can call Michael to see if he needs any help if you get a free moment I'm sure it would be appreciated. |
