Very bad news to share this morning- former SC Badwebber Eryc Riddle, Badweb handle XBlaw, was killed in a non-motorcycle-related traffic accident yesterday. Eryc used to run a law office in Moncks Corner, SC but gave up law and moved home to Augusta, GA a couple of years ago to take over his father's crane business, which was renamed Erycson Crane. Eryc was a apparently riding as the passenger in one of their truck cranes yesterday which overturned onto the right side as it was making a left turn. He died in the accident. Here's an Augusta TV report: http://www.wrdw.com/home/headlines/Crane-service-t ruck-flips-hits-power-pole.html Eryc rode a black XB12S and attended at least a couple of the Buell meets in Suches, GA. |

Wow this is hard to read and even hear of. He was a great guy to be around. I knew he had disappeared from here and my facebook lately and was wondering what he had been up to. This is horrible. He was a blast to be around the few times that I had been around him. Heck of a guy from what I know and he will be missed for sure. Really makes ya think a lot of how things can go wrong. Thoughts and prayers for his family. |

Darren- Yea, he was a very nice guy. I don't think he'd been riding much lately. He'd mentioned that his wife wasn't a big fan of it. So much for that keeping you safe I guess. I'd seen him a few times in the last 2 or 3 years. We'd meet with some other guys at one of the local breweries occasionally- he was a huge craft beer nerd. I found a very nice tribute to him linked to his Facebook page: http://clearlycaneda.wordpress.com/2014/05/15/eryc -riddle-the-most-unique-kind-person-i-have-ever-me t/ |

I had not been around him since he finished school so I thought he was still in the law business. Nice guy and a great rider back in the day too. Wheelies if I remember. Tragic. We will be praying. (Message edited by rcontroler on May 15, 2014) |

Eryc's obituary: http://www.currentobituary.com/ShowObit.aspx?id=14 0966&member_id=169 I feel bad for his wife but worse for his parents. Eryc had a younger brother that died a couple of years ago. |

In lighter news, those of us in the lowcountry now have a closer EBR dealer. EBR's website recently added Savannah Powersport Center in Savannah, GA as an EBR dealer: http://www.savannahpowersportcenter.com/ They don't have anything about EBR on their website yet but hopefully that'll change quickly. |

Just finished a lengthy conversation with Eric at Real Performance Motorsports. Alot of good things in the works. Most of you may know the website for their business is riderpm.com. This is the main site for motorcycles. They utilize http://www.realperformancemotorsports.com/m/index. htm for "over the counter sales" which also includes online orders. You all have got to look them up and call for final pricing. I am not allowed to tell you the kinda of discount they will give but trust me, well worth it. Now motorcycles....3 black (one of which is a demo) and 1 red one sit on the floor right now. Eric assures me the price of the demo will be sweet. Birdy tells me it might include some cool gear. He has the numbers for some of you who have shown interest in the SX when it comes in and he spoke of Prynce Albert will be getting a call when the AX is announced. |

We DID have both an EBR SX and RX at the Buells in the Alps meet. Thanks Randy! For those of you who didn't make it this year, go ahead and mark your calendars for next year: July 24-26, 2015 BTW- the dealer I mentioned above listed as an EBR dealer in Savannah, GA, is no longer listed on EBR's dealer listing. I read somewhere (possibly on another forum) that someone had dropped in about a month ago and asked them about the EBR bikes after they'd seen the dealership listed on EBR's website. None of the salesmen had a clue what an EBR was. Sounds like it's a good thing they didn't become an EBR dealer. |

I know that guy. Bought a couple pics from that trip. Had a blast. 4 day weekend. Going again in april. You all should make plans to go. Grab a buddy and split fuel cost. Camping is cheap. |

This place is pretty slow lately, but here's some news that you need to know about. Badwebber Glitch (aka Dave Hare) is seriously ill. See this thread on the Quick Board for more info: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/751838.html?1415147231 There's a Paypal account where you can help the family out if you're so inclined. Glitch is a great guy and one of the guys that's kept Badweb running for a long time. |

I went to a nice event today in Charleston to honor former SC Badwebber Eryc Riddle, Badweb handle XBlaw (see my post above) who was tragically killed in a non-motorcycle accident earlier this year. Local brewery Holy City Brewing brewed a special beer in his honor (Eryc's IPA) a few months back and had a BBQ dinner in his honor today. $20 got you a plate of BBQ and fixin's, a pint of beer, and live music from the Hermit Kings out of Asheville. All proceeds went to a couple of friends of Eryc's who are trying to adopt a child. I met Eryc's dad today; he seemed like a very nice guy who is obviously still very sad about losing his son. Mr. Riddle also rides although he said he just hasn't had the heart to crank the bike since Eryc died. I promised to give him a call next summer before Buells in the Alps 5; hopefully he'll come up. |

Is anybody out there? An XB9R followed me to I-26 on Rutledge Avenue this afternoon. Looked like it had sort of an olive drab paint job on the plastics. Anybody here? It had a Jardine or maybe a Drummer exhaust. |

That time of year again, putting on pilot road 4 GT's on XB12s. Replacing pilot road 3's. Great tire but not in very cold weather. Little "greasy" below 30°. I can't wait to try out the 4's. New Barnett clutch pack HUGE improvement over stock. I did have to make small mod on one plate. |

Less than 2 months till buells at the dragon. I am going to trailer my bike up there from charleston. I can make room for two bikes of you have a tow vehicle. My caravan won't handle 3 bikes. From what I understand, all cabins are already filled but there is plenty of camp ground. |
