I just had a meeting with the owners of the dealership about the up-and-coming-event. They are pleased with what we have gotten together so far. The only concerns were the beer and how to serve it... and how that may effect demoing the new Buells. The advertising company was there also. Stani will be looking for you Glitch about getting the flier so he can handle the mass production. : )

We can meet at my place it would be kind of cramped in my living room but we can do it if needed. If it's nice I have a HUGE deck we could sit on and I have chairs.

I just won't be able to make it downtown and as of now Michael doesn't think he can either. I live near the dealership so it wouldn't be too far out of anyone's way.

No matter to me either. The dealer would be best as we have an area to meet and it would be good for a Photo to submit for the Fuell deal. How cool is that!?

There is a guy who rides an XB12R whom you've heard me refer to as the Vampire... He runs a club called The Compound at the end of Tenth down town. He says we ought to come down and have fun on him some time. The way he was talking we'd need to get a ride home or show self control.(that can be hard for me.)

I'm gonna come visit you tomorrow.
You get there around twelve, so I guess I should take care of the yard, big damn yard, always needs attention. After the storm rolled through there are limbs all over the place. Needs mowin', while I'm at it I guess I'll mow the neighbor lady's yard, and the lady's across the street. Well maybe I'll make it there around one.

Flooding and Rock Slides Close Sections of Parkway
Road closures are as follows: Milepost 317 near Linville Falls to mile 325, from Milepost 344 at NC 80 near Marion to Milepost 355 at Mt. Mitchell State Park, and from Milepost 412 at US 276 south of Mt. Pisgah to Milepost 443 at US 23/74 near Waynesville

The major rockslides are at Mileposts 322, 345, 348,349, 413 and 429. Most of those between Milepost 322 and 349 took out portions of the motor road and this segment of the Parkway, from just south of Linville Falls to south of Buck Creek Gap at NC 80 near Marion, may be closed for up to a year. The slides at 413 and 429 are also extensive but do not appear to have damaged the road’s supporting structure significantly. Detour routes will be announced and posted.

Rebecca, yes that is part of the run. It's also where a lot of my family live, and Tedk also. Things don't look so good up there right now. One of the girls I grew up with has lost her house down the side of the mountain, luckily no one was home. The folks house seems to be OK but my aunt that lives at the bottom of the mountain lives right beside a creek. Hopefully they won't have to rebuild everything. Doesn't look too good for them as far as next week goes either, as they still haven't dried out and the next storm is on it's way.
