ive recently picked up this used 2000 M2 Cyclone. its my first buell, im used to asian sportbikes. i had it for a couple weeks. i laid it down very slow speed on the right side. it didnt really seem to hurt anything but it threw the first belt a couple days later. upon replaceing the belt i found the isolators between the swingarm and frame were pretty much torn to shreds. i replaced them along with the belt so i figured those were the cause of the belt snapping the way it did. i figured the wreck finished em off. however with the new isolators and new belt on there, i only went about another hundred miles before it snapped the new belt. i know the rear wheel is on perfectly straight. i know i set the belt tension properly with the belt tension gauge. nothing seems to have contacted the belt on either side or top or bottom. i feel like this should be a simple thing but i must be missing something |
