Lornce, When you get your dates confirmed, let me know and we'll make sure you get some help from the qualified guys and gals of American SportBike Night. We meet the first Monday of every month in San Leandro at the Straw Hat Pizza Parlor, located at 14680 Washington Avenue. 7 PM, and it's always fun. This past Monday, we were lucky to have Gary S. Jaehne give a seminar about riding and suspension setup. Gary has written two books, and did a book signing after his lecture. We always have a doorprize raffle and as the weather warms up, it gets pretty crowded. I won't be able to make the March show, since I plan on being in Daytona but if those plans fall through, I'll be there. When you get to NorCal, make sure you give me a call at the ASBN hotline, 510-483-8858 and we'll schedule a stop at Alice's Restaurant, and some of the other spectacular NorCal motorcycle roads. The Wine Country is a must, just ask Leslie Hudson (formerly Prevish) of BRAG who was here for our 4th Anniversary party from Milwaukee, and took a tour on my Buell through the Wine Country. So, yes it's wonderful living here where we can rde almost every day, and I hope to see you when you get here. Ride safe, Woz... http://www.AmericanSportBikeNight.com http://www.AmericanSportBikeNight.inspiredsites.com |

Woz, That second address should be http://AmericanSportBikeNight.inspiredsites.net No www and .net instead of .com Eventually I'll get both of these sites integrated, but I just lost my DirecTV DSL account, because they went out of business on Friday. When I'm back on-line with SBC DSL, I'll start into this again. Jim X-2.5 |

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/sfbragbuell/ I have a large collection of the rest of the pics I took here - many will go full screen size - I will not save them forever - so if you want a pic of your bike - full size - you might want to stop by and click it (I've got over 30 pics of bikes) before I delete the fullsize to make room for more pics - not an add, but the fact is the few at this site like to ride - especially the wine country - theres some sweet stuff there - you could do worse than to hook up with one for a ride - thats all we're about - It was fun - need more Blasts - they're half of Buells production - and they modify easily - I duc hunt 620 's for fun! Hey folks - if any of you Northerners want to stop by our "camp" at Thunderhill, come on out and introduce yourselves! We'll be there with about 6 or 7 Buells - 2 or 3 X1s, couple M2s, S1, S3, XB9R. If they bring them, we'll have 2 black canopies marked Glendale Harley and the other Buell (I assume Glendale will bring them) Come on out and say "HI" |

EBear and Cheryl, it was great having you guys up here this weekend to help with recon for OktoberFAST. me 'n D still can't believe how much beer YOU guys drank on Saturday night!!! to all: the weather should be great for this gig, as the daytime temps are finally starting to abate somewhat. the Aspen trees up on the Western Divide are really starting to glow, and the air up there amongst the giant Sequoias is pretty intoxicating this time of year. the Western Divide Highway and the Mighty 190 are two of the roads that we couldn't do on day three of the All-Cal BRAG ride last year due to the snowstorm that blew thru the night before. for anyone wanting to see and ride what we missed, this would be a great opportunity. we game for having company here at the 'Dome anytime from Friday afternoon on, clear thru 'til Monday evening (it's a holiday weekend...) the "main" ride will be on Saturday (about 200 miles) but we'll get in get in some tasty local stuff on the other days, as well. y'all come. Well its getting to that time of year again! Who would be interested in a group ride for all Northern California and beyound riders to meet the Southern California and beyond Blast riders? The time April 2, 3, and 4 - though it can be just the 2nd and 3rd for those pressed by time! Yes the anual San Louis Obispo - SLO Ride is on again and I hope to meet a lot of the western USA Blast riders this year! How about it folks - a chance to finally put a face to the names/nonplumes of folks you've been conversing with is yours and the rides are fun! Speak up if your interested so I can get rooms and rides arranged. Last year was great fun and a great group of rides - to there, around there, and back again! - 3 unique routes, and new additions planed for this year! Well Blastards - how about it - ready to ride? There are a lot of Blastards here in Cali and yet very few of us have met one another in person. Here is your opportunity to get a good set of rides in, meet the folk/friends you have been conversing with over the net and share riding stories, and enjoy the sharing of a passion we all have in common - Buell. Last years ride was a lot of fun and the roads and folk where awesome! Truely an adventure you'll remember! The twisties are calling your name - can you think of more fun filled reply?! Heres your chance to compare notes and make friends, and this is California after all - a place known for great roads - our mission is to find them! Bring your ride, make some friends and enjoy a great time! San Louis Obispo is the meeting point - join us - Ed, Scott, Erik, James, Eric, Saro and Lotti, Ryan and his lovely significant - the origionals plus already! So join us in some fun and create some memories to recall. Let the ride To SLO Part Deux Begin! Disclaimer: This ride is in no way associated with Buell, the BADWEB, or any of its organizers. This is a voluntary gathering of fans of the Buell Blast. No one is leagally responsible for another on this ride or gathering - we all agree that we are responsible adults in charge of our own behavior, and that a safe and sober ride is our own responsibility and expected of us. Housing, feeding, and personal care is each our own responsiblity. Showing up for this voluntary event will be a sign of accord of the above statement and will be taken as acceptance of such. That said: Please make sure your bike is in good working order, that you are in good working order, and that you are prepared for any contingencies that may occur (a cell phone and Brag Roadside Assistance Membership would be a great idea, any tools you feel you'll need, etc.). I will reserve a small block of rooms (8 rooms are reserved at the Travel Lodge - 1825 Monterey St., (805)543-5110), however, such rooms will be shared (unless you bring your significant other - that counts as sharing - ;0)) and any other lodging arrangements will be your own responsibility - so if you want your own room - you'll need to arrange such. The Idea and goal of this event is to meet and share a little time together having fun and enjoying a ride! Each of us may participate as much or little as they please, however, thanks to those participating so far it looks to be a promising start to a fun event! Hope to see you there and remember - ride your own ride! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

Maybe its just me, perhaps I'm way out of line, but I show up at these various bike meetings and there is usually a topic - hill climbing, racing, whatever - but I'm there about the ride! I want to here about what roads you went down, what they are like, what you saw on them, and their conditions. I want to hear about technique, tips and pointers for enjoying the ride even more. The spectator side of things - racing, shows, and these meetings mean very little to me. I started riding because it offered a type of peace that is unique, and is fun to participate in! I say - get off your collective arses talking about riding and go ride! So who's with me on exploring and enjoying some of the best roads that California has to offer on this next San Louis Obispo ride this 2,3,4 of April? I garrentee a great ride, great scenery, and great fun! Surely there are other folks who feel this way here and enjoy riding - what better way to express it than to ride! So come on Blastards - join me and the gang for a great ride - meeting at the Beanery at 9th and Irving at 8am on the 2nd of April to enjoy a fantastic adventure! Talk takes you nowhere, its your bike that will get you there! The gauntlet has been thrown! Who will answer this call for adventure?! And who will just stay home and wish they did - the decision is your! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

Any XBS or City X owners near Santa Anna, CA?? Would anyone be interested in assisting a company located in Santa Anna, CA in developing a product for the XB Lightning and City X? They would need access to you XB for a couple hours for measurements, etc. No harm will come to your XB, and you will receive the part for free. I am not affiliated with this company, so I will not benefit in any way, other than I would like this product to be available. Send me a PM and I will give you all the details. American Sport Bike BBQ Plans Past year BBQs have been quite successful, but we get too many San Diego/LA local customers only, and not enough northern CA folks. It's just too far for them to get down and back over the weekend. This year it's going to be a little different. Plans are still being developed, but they are something like this. On the weekend of October 14-15 (possibly one week later, we're still working the details), we're going to turn Buellton, California into Buell Central. The schedule will go something like this: Friday Afternoon/evening: Folks arrive from all over, check into hotels/campgrounds etc. We're working out lodging details now. Saturday AM/early afternoon: Everyone heads on on local rides. We'll map out a long ride and a short ride. Some folks may want to do the short ride and visit the Solvang Motorcycle Museum, others will ride the lots of nice roads in the area. We'll get some of the local folks that know the roads to map something out. I've got a mad maps for the area, there looks to be some nice stuff. Saturday-3PM: Everyone converges on a local park that we'll have an area reserved at, with a catered in BBQ and other refreshments. No beer here, but.... Saturday 5-6PM: Everyone goes back to the hotels, parks their bikes, walks to the Firestone Microbrewery (http://www.firestonebeer.com/) and we party into the night. Sunday: Folks drive home the long way. There are so many cool roads going both North and south from here, people will be able to make a full day of twisty riding. Details are forthcoming. We're trying for the earlier weekend, just have to get the logistics all figured out. If there are any major conflicts, we'll move it out one week. If anyone has any suggestions, now would be the time to forward them to me since we're still early in the planning phases. Direct Future discussions to the cross post in the American Sport Bike sponser area, please. |
