Anyone riding down Rte 1 this afternoon around 1pm in Milford? Saw the rear of an XB heading south as I was pulling onto Rte 1 near the Post Mall. |

so, i am at Lime Rock last Wednesday, rode up and worked all day- started to rain around noon and was an all out down pour by the end of the day. i don't mind getting wet riding home but that was ridiculous! left my rain gear at home as well. anyway, the bike did quite well and i was getting quite comfortable with my rain riding. the engine only coughed twice but each time i expected the worst. pulled into the driveway and jumped into a hot shower... not a bad ride after all! |

My sincerest apologies to all for my having 'advertised' a free antique motorcycle show being produced by a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational corporation. Rest assured, this insensitive act will not be repeated by myself or any agent of the non-stock not-for-profit educational corporation in question. thanks for understanding, and, again, please accept my sincerest apologies (i attempted to delete the original threads, but could only delete my responses. if any custodians would be so helpful as to delete all of the 'advertisements' which I'd posted for this event, I'd be very thankful. again, my sincerest heartfelt apologies for this act) (Message edited by tramp on July 24, 2007) |

Looking to sell my 2005 XB12Scg. She is in showroom condition and has about 3,000 miles (really low). I'm not in a rush, but am not interested in giving it away either. If you know of anyone who might be interested, let me know.

-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ My friends Blues band is playing tonight at The Field in Bridgeport. They are pretty good and Arlee Leonard is singing. Saturday, April 19: WITH SPECIAL GUEST from New York/New Orleans Ms. Arlee Leonard! at The Field, 3001 Fairfield Ave. -- Black Rock (that's Bridgeport) CT. 1o p.m. Folks, if you've never seen us with Arlee singing up front, you're really missing something special! Arlee has sung everywhere from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival -- where she'll be performing once again on May 1 -- to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Bangkok and Shanghai! She has a sultry delivery, a four-octave range and is an AWESOME jazz singer, but grew up steeped in the blues. (Arlee's parents, David & Roselyn, are celebrated New Orleans blues, roots and street musicians -- sometimes flown clear across the world as examples of New Orleans' music!) Arlee may be the best singer performing ANYWHERE in the state of Connecticut this month so come on out and get hip to it! The Field has good food (both a bar menu and a more haute restaurant menu) and a downright dizzying selection of beers! A great time is guaranteed for all! For more info: 203-333-0043 or www.thefieldrestaurant.net |

I'm still just figuring out how to ride, but having a great time doing it. I'm out in the Plainfield area. Just letting you know I'm alive and will be up for some rides soon. |

Hey CT- A fellow NEBO is coming home from Afghanistan pretty soon and they're doing a benefit run from Indiana through to CT to raise some dollars for the brothers they lost on this rotation. Hop in at one of the meeting points along the route and ride with some honest-to-God American Heroes.

Hey Nate, I don't look here too often (let's see, your post was in July?)and one of the nicer local rides coming up is heading right to you. Go figure. Anyhow, this Sunday, 8/18, is Brit Jam and it's at, get this, the Haddam Neck Fairgrounds. Well, if you park your bike in the sun you may get the engine warmed up. There are other bikes there, sometimes some really cool bikes that you don't get to see too often. If it's a nice day and I can spare the time I might head out there. If I get a chance to go out on another day I'll check in with you. Welcome to CT. |
