Dork? I'm not sure, but I do know that guardrails fear him, so he must be a badass |

He must be a badass if guard rails fear him... although, the owner of this sweet hog is a true badass!

I ran a set of bridgstone BT016 the beginning of the year on the CR. Tremendous grip, but no real feedback, and only lasted about 2400 miles. I've just put Pilot power road 3's on it, and really love the grip, turn in, and hopefully they will last longer. How is mama, and the little one? |

Mama has bronchitis, and little one is good, but hasn't quite figured out that night time is when he is supposed to sleep. The kid sleeps all day, and then wakes up from like 8pm-1am. We are slowly getting used to it . The Michelin road 3s should last a bit longer... my 2CT's have been on mine for about 7K now. I liked them, but the grip wasnt as good as the Pilot Pures I had on before... but then again they only lasted about 3K miles. |

Taking a short ride up 14 to Santa Fe for lunch tomorrow if anyone wants to tag along. I'll be leaving Sunday for Colorado and a week of Back country riding on the Tenere. |

Bart, what part are you going to be in, again? There is a huge fire up near Wolf Creek Pass. I can fill you in on where the hot spots are in the state. |

Jody, We will be camped in Ouray, but we have multiple loops both paved and unpaved throughout the central and western part of the state. One of them was the loop over wolf creek, through south fork, Lake City, Gunnison, and back to Ouray. I just read where South Fork is being evacuated, and most of the town may be a loss. sad news for the residents, and for us riders that wanted to access Lake City through those roads. Are the roads closed going to Creed, and Lake City? |

From South Fork to Creed is closed at present. In another week they may be reopened. The fact that there has been no updates from the West Fork Complex fire team may be a bad sign for the town of South Fork. I'd certainly not count on using the gas station there. North of Creed through Lake City is open. Fire can break out any time in that area so be prepared to reroute. |

Talk with you soon, & Ride Safe! Dave Pagosa Springs Resort, Pagosa Springs CO, Aug 23rd 1-800-565-1342 Sagebrush Inn, Taos NM, Aug 24th 575-758-2254 Rally Dates- 23-24-25 |

Contact Dave by email: davekaminen@amesco.com He is the closest thing to an event organizer this year that I know of. From the message he sent out(posted above) it doesn't sound like there is a group rate. |

CJ, I can ride this Saturday, but not Friday. Let me know if that will work for you. Kim has also mentioned she would like to ride. |

I just saw this post now. But I guess it's a moot point since I saw you on Wednesday. It was a decent ride on Friday. Weather held out pretty good. No rain to speak of. I couldn't go Saturday. I had a bunch of other stuff lined up. It's hard only being there for a few days. Lots of people to see, things to do. And Angela likes to consume as much time as possible. |

I haven't seen any prices for rooms at the Inn. If I go, I will probably stay around the corner at the San Juan Motel, $79 a night. |

Bart, Just stay next door at the Comfort inn. We can walk to the Sagebrush and drink beer like last time. |

Yeah, the Inn in Pagosa is pretty expensive. I liked the San Juan Motel. It doesn't look like much, but it was comfortable and clean. |

I liked the San Juan for its economy, too. I'll probably stay there to stretch my grubby dollar bills a little further. It's the ride that counts! |

Bart, did that room have 3 beds or did you and CJ share a bed? Art said he needs to share a room so maybe we can fit him in, too! |
