You'd be surprised how quickly you can get them from American Sport Bike. |

So I thought my battery was dying this last weekend. I got up Friday and decided to take the 1125 to work. I got all geared up and had the bike at the bottom of the driveway. When I went to start it, it lit up like usual, the tachometer swept across the face of the display like usual, but when I hit the ignition, it just died... I think GREAT dead battery. I roll it back up the driveway, take off all my gear and get in my car and head to work. I was in a bad mood all day... was looking forward to a little bit of a ride. Saturday morning comes and I hook it up to the charger for a couple hours while we worked on cleaning the house up a bit and packing/ doing a few repairs. I head out to test it about 4 hours later and she starts! Eureka! It needed gas, so I hopped on and headed down to the gas station, filled her up and took it for a very brief jaunt on the freeway to momentarily get some adrenaline going, get back home and turn it off. Planned on riding Sunday a little. Sunday comes and I get all geared up and what do you know, doesn't start again. After getting pissed off and taking off all the gear again, I decide to hook it up to the charger again for a few moments. the charger indicated that it was charged, so I decided to try it again, and it starts right up. I say screw it and hopped on anyway. I wasn't going far, but I NEEDED to get out on the bike at least a little. We ended up going to the in-laws for dinner that night, and everything was working fine until I got about half way home that night. On I40 I notice my speedo is going in and out and the bike is kind of jerky (just about turning off and then back on instantaneously). I was thinking "oh crap, what is wrong with this thing now!?" then it came to me as I noticed the issues came on more when I went over bumps...I thought to myself "I bet one of the battery terminals is loose and it is causing the bike to lose power." The issue finally settled long enough for me to get home, I take off the tail and look at the battery. The positive connector screw was way loose and just kinda jiggling around. I tightened it up and (thank God) she was back to normal. I think I only rode about 20 miles this weekend, and I was frustrated almost the whole time. any of you had this happen? Just figured I'd get a conversation going... its been kinda dead for about a week now. |

I ordered fork seals for the 1125 on Thursday afternoon, and they were at my house Saturday morning. Since I rode Saturday, and drove Sunday, I installed them Monday morning. took about 2 hours, easy peasy... Adam, them loose connections will get ya every time! |

Yeah, I had a loose connector once. Frustrating. I made it out to PA ok. I had Bart help me install the TrackSide wheel chock in the bed of my truck. I rolled the Uly into it and it worked pretty well. (I do think I need to loosen up the pivot nut.) The whole trip was ok, even the never ending rain from Western Oklahoma to Virgina, and the snow in Virginia. But the real test came in the last several miles driving up I-95 through Philly. The expansion joints and other bumps were frequent and severe. The whole bike was bucking around back there, but was strapped in pretty good. Unnerving, though. |

Apparently my last comment didn't take... IDK.. Bart- didn't you make your own fork compressors for the 1125? CJ- Glad you (and the bike) made it up safely. We are supposed to be out of our house as early as this coming Monday, but that depends on the buyers' need to move as quickly as they say they need to. Our house is just about packed, but my move right now isn't that far (only about 15 miles), the big move will be later this year some time I am hoping. Anyway, find some good roads up there and send some pics! |

Yes, I made a tool for Buells. Tomorrow, I'm going to ride up the high road out to Mora, up to Angel Fire, and Taos for lunch. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else wants to ride, I'll be leaving around 0900 hrs. |

How were the roads up that way? |

The road between Mora and AngelFire was crap. there was Diesel poured for a few miles on the southern direction lane, and there was still sand from the winter spread throughout the road. Still was a great ride, the 1125 was rockin' |

That road is sketchy most times of year... no line of sight and very narrow. always dirt or sand there, but it can be fun. |

Yeah, I sorta hate that section of road. But it connects a few fun sections, so I tolerate it. It's a head on collision waiting to happen. |

the open area at the North section is really pretty right near Angelfire though... kinda worth it. |

Actually, that stretch was nice and clear when I rode through about 3 weeks ago with some guys from the Pegasus riding group. We came down from Angel Fire. That small stretch was one of my favorite parts of the loop, including the stretch from the high road, through Sipapu, and into Mora. I'm thinking it's about time to do a pre-ride of 191, now that I've done the enchanted circle loop 3 times already this spring... |

Looks like fun, nice pictures. I went up through the Jemez, to Bandalier and came down FSR 289 to Cochiti lake. Lots of burn damage up there, couple of stream crossings, I only did about 280 miles. 19 days to SpringFast |

We started through Jemez, took a little detour to the tunnels then up to the Caldera and Bandelier. We took 30 North just past White Rock to Espanola, then 285 up to Tres Piedras, then NM 64 back to 84 and up to Chama for lunch. We pretty much just stayed on 84 on the whole way back until Santa Fe, then we hopped on I25 because it was getting late and my ass was numb |

I... uh... my 1125R wouldn't start last time I tried to ride it because the battery was nearly dead. I just need to accept that I've become a Harley Davidson style rider up here and buy some battery tenders. |

or you could just get yourself a Harley I wont be able to do any real long distance riding for the next several weeks... I am in an on-call status with the wife I need to be within about an hour of home and within reach of a phone just in case she goes into labor which can happen any time in the next 4-5 weeks... |

Ill still probably poke my head in on the forum every once in a while... but yeah, I have quite a bit more. I think at least 20. I will probably give the rest to someone that is still in the area so that they can pass them out to newcomers or anyone else who is interested. |

So, since I haven't gotten a "real job" yet, I'm back to needing "any kind of job." So, I looked around and discovered that RevZilla is based in Phila, PA and has many openings. So, I applied to be a "Gear Geek." Let's see how that goes. I'll enjoy a job where I can wear jeans and ride to work. |
