My poor 1125 is in the shop. Looks like I have become victim to the clutch weep problem. Im still trying to figure out if I want to try and fix it myself or pay Lowcountry HD. The bike is have its steering head bearing changed and fuel pump looked at. I dont think I will get it back for another couple weeks |

About the clutch, Type in the search on this site,"EBR clutch actuator comparison" .If Erik has designed a better unit, get it and install. |

I dont think I have the mechanical knowledge to do it myself. I have already decided to get the cylinder and piston from EBR, since they have some in stock. There is a buddy of mine that is good with this sort of stuff... I might ask him to do it for me. |

HAAA, not laughing at you but mine had started leaking about April and I did nothing because it stopped leaking. Just last week it actually started again and I was apparently spitting fluid out and it was on my exhaust and swing arm. I just ordered the EBR unit and it will be in Friday, tomorrow!!!! I am going to do it my self. Torquehd did a video on it and it is very simple. 5mm Allen wrench, and probably an inch pound torque wrench and a 17mm angled wrench will probably be all the tools needed if you have the service manual. here is his video http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/675063.html?1333909252 I will be doing mine soon. Looks REALLY easy. I will try and let you know how it goes if I get to do it this weekend. Mine has started eating the finish on the side of the motor. Anyway good luck with yours. |

Yea I watched that video, and it does look fairly straight forward. The bike is already at the shop and EBR is not taking new orders until jan 2. So looks like im waiting a few weeks. They are replacing the steering head bearing in the meantime and doing a thorough inspection. |

Rob, Yeah, I ended up getting mine about a day before they closed up shop. Lucky timing on my part I guess. And they were super fast getting it processed and out for the year. Cataract, Not that I know of. If they float around here then they don't post. My dad hasn't ridden down there as far as I know. He has a yellow 9S but it resides over here in Columbia. Unless someone has picked one up and hasn't told anyone... |

Rob, I should have offered this earlier. I could have installed that piece for you. I do all my own work on my 1125R. If in the future you need help. Well, I have this weekend free and am wanting to get out and ride. Any good routes around this place for a day ride? |

Have you taken 165 to the Islands? Take Savannah Hwy out of town at 165 intersection take a left and enjoy. I used to take 165 down from Dorchester Road, but when they put in the school the fun was taken away (heavly policed) |

I was surprized this week. visiting family in Illinois I stopped in an old HD Dealer "Andrea" in Champ/Urbana. There was a 2009 XB9R with only 2K miles! Asking a Top price of $6500. I don't think I could get that much for my Highly modified 2008. Hope it finds a great home. |

Took a family trip to ole Chuck Town today. Went to Hyman's Seafood for lunch. Then we took a stroll down Church St. all the way to the park at the battery. Along the way came a V-twin motorcycle headed our way. Couldn't help but stare as it was a Black CR with a beautiful exhaust note!!! Rider had no gear on today. I figure his face had to be a little cool today!!! It was pretty neat seeing and hearing a 1125R/CR with exhaust that wasn't mine for a change. I don't think it was anybody here but if it was, I was that guy pushing the stroller on Church street that was staring the bike down, not the rider. |

OK, does anyone have the process for resetting the TPS on an 03 XB9S?? I have ECM Spy and see where the RESET is but dont know what the state of the bike needs to be or if I need to do anything other than link up and hit reset. The ECM had a TPS reset by HD when I got it to fix the current leak on the original but it ran like CRAP between 2k and 3k RPM. I stuck the ECM back in the bike and nothing has changed. I got this ECM off ebay and it worked fine until I took it to the HD dealer and they did the reset. Any help would be appreciated. I keep getting worried buyers about the issue with the ECM even though I have ridden it with a switch for four years now. Thanks for any help!! |
