I see lots of Buells around town, some with, and some without helmets. To each their own, it is their choice. I saw a beat up M2 at Dawns on Sunday. The dude was wearing shorts and sandals, but he DID have a helmet. I had a nice ride over the Jemez this weekend, did some camping, the last couple of miles before Los Alamos is fresh chip seal, that won't be worn in until winter. The high road is still good to go so far, as well as the roads to Mora and Angel Fire. Hangs the corners well, off roads good, and makes a pretty damn good sport tourer. I finally broke down and put some dualsport tires on last week and have been abusing it out in the desert, and up in the mountains. I've put 10,000 miles on it in 4 months and it's been great. It's going to be a traditional Taos rally and we're lining up rooms at the Comfort Suites attached to the Sagebrush. We'll do our Saturday dinner on the patio at Sagebrush. Great Ride! Wolf Creek Pass, Creede, Lake City, and Crested Butte were great points along the way! For those CO Buellers... Bruno still puts on a first class dinner. Saw a White/Blue XB12R @ Southern Vittles in Lake City - the rider must work there. CO149 is highly recommended now - before temps start to drop in the northern Rio Grand valley...
