Bart, my plan is to have someone else do it but they probably won't be ready for me for a few weeks. Have you done yours yet? |

Why the new rotor? Problems? |

It is the fix that EBR has provided, unofficially, for the stator problem. It has an oil jet machined into it to provide extra cooling. No one that has installed it has reported any failures, yet, and we are all hoping no one will! |

I was thinking the same thing John...good thing I didn't reply saying how easy it is and how I did mine in less than an hour! Let us know how it goes. I need to do that on my 1125r sometime before my stator #2 fails. |

It took Dan about 4-4 1/2 hours to replace both the stator and rotor on my bike. So far it has been running great, battery staying in the low 14 range and dropping into the 13 if stopped at a light. This is the first time since having the bike that I'm not thinking "when is the stator going to go". I do truly hope this is the fix for me. I hope the newly designed rotor does work for everyone. This bike is just so much fun to ride. And I was really hoping to test it out on the track with Jason Pridmore in May but alas, they canceled it. Maybe next year. |

I saw an e-mail excerpt that quoted Erik saying the oil-jet modified rotor drops stator temp by 50 degrees. Julie - did y'all get that one or the 08 set-up? Either way you should be good. |

Hey guys I wanted to introduce myself to the CBR, my name is David and I ride a red 1125CR, which is currently down but Zack is working on it so I know it will be ready soon. I live in COS and if you guys have any planned rides let me know so I can join you. A big thanks to Zack and Dan for being able to work on my bike and being overall awesome. |

I live in Arvada. the X1 had an intake problem so wile waiting for parts I tore off the back end and ploished up the swing arm and the tail. replaced the rear isolators and am building a custom under tail. the bike got a once over the XB9 I got a smokin deal on but it was a basket case. so what you see is what i have done in just a few days of work. Stearing bearings are holding me back from going further just waiting for them to arrive |

Frank, did you and Lynn make it home today? Andres, I live in Canon City which is west of Pueblo about 30 miles. Zack is going to install the new charging rotor on my bike for me. Oh, and I plan to go drag racing this Friday evening at the Pueblo track. (Message edited by j2blue on June 25, 2012) |

Welcome home Frank and Lynn! Jody, waiting on Loctite 648 to arrive, all else is ready. Got David's stator/rotor off no sweat and old parts sent to re-winder and EBR. I will put it all together as soon as the stator returns or the 648 arrives, whichever is last... Finally getting caught up on heads too so your turn comes as soon as you're ready Jody. Time2work Z |

Hey all, Just a reminder for our monthly breakfast get together at the Red Rocks Grill in Morrison at 10am this Sunday July 1st. A group will also get together at Rocky Mountain HD at 8:30am, before breakfast, for a ride in the hills ending in Morrison. Also, Henry just called me to let us know that he will be riding his EBR 1190RS down from Silverthorne to meet at Rocky Mountain HD for the ride to breakfast. If you would like to see this latest creation by Erik Buell and to meet Henry, please join us. I know a lot of you are interested in this bike. All Buellers are welcome! Great news Zack! I will call and make arrangements with you this weekend. I'm not sure if that means I can bring the bike up this weekend, though. |

Zack, Who did you send the stator to for the rewind? I happen to have a extra that I want to get rewound and have as a replacement when mine craps out. |

I believe David had us send it to "Ricks" Hildstrom posted this in the "charging issues" subforum on the 1125 board as "Stator Rewind Options". Name of the company: Rick's Motorsport Electrics Location: Hampstead, NH Price for rewind: $145+shipping Wire used if known: 200C Epoxy used if known: unknown Warranty if any: 1-year Special options they offer: 240C/250C polyimide-insulated wire for additional cost Jody you can bring it up but I'm still waiting for the Loctite 648. Steve - yes, loving it. Dan does the airheads and I do the wetheads. We aren't taking in any more bikes tho until after August. Gotta get 2 bikes ready for Bonneville. Z |

Been thinking about what I posted the last day or two. I'm used to telling y'all about any new job I start but I think I'm crossing a line. We're not sponsors, Dan and Blake are on good terms again and I don't want to jeopardize that with "advertising". That really wasn't my intent, I'm just excited to be doing what I'm doing. Y'all know how I feel about MY Buells - PM me if you have any issues with yours and I'll try to help. Zack (Message edited by zac4mac on June 30, 2012) |

Sound good Zack...I might be interested in the upgrade even before mine goes out in order to reduce my paranoia while riding. Also, I was telling Troy about your work and the new EBR rotor...and he is interested too. So let me know when you have time ( no rush) and we will schedule it. Thanks. |
