trying to stay fit while growing old blows out ACLs. Its been 10 weeks since my allograft and I have annoying click in my knee. Still doing PT 3 times a week. At least I can ride now where before my surgery I couldn't bend my knee enough to put my foot on the peg. |

Could someone who owns a 2008 and later air cooled XB9/12 and software find out for me some needed numbers? I need to know the starting number for the IAC when the bike is cold...listed as "steps" And I need the bike at operating temp. and what the final number is. Thanks, this will help with a project of mine. |

Even with new tires, im not getting into the groove with this bike, it handles great, and is nimble and fun, im just not feeling it right now. Im going to go on a ride tomorrow, see if i can change that. I think park of the problem is i really want a different kind of bike. This is fun, but it lacks a lot in power... |

Well Matt, if you want something that is way more than anyone really needs on the road, then there is always an 1125 somewhere... Not mine though!! XB12's are really good too... |

I saw it too Matt. Bike was located in the eastbound lanes near the Remount Road overpass. It was hard to tell what it was as the gas tank was missing from the frame, but it was definitely a tuber. I believe I saw dual mufflers hanging under the engine. Bike looked OK otherwise; frame was metallic gray. I actually thought it might be your old M2. |

Dual mufflers would possibly be a bubs system. Traffic was moving at an ok pace by the time i passed it. I was wondering why the gas tank was gone though. I saw the guy who bought my old m2, and he hasnt ridden it much, that was a month ago or so. |

I was wondering why the gas tank was gone though Makes me think it must have been a hard impact. My S3 had this "toothed" plate under the rear hold-down bolt for the gas tank that was a recall modification; it was apparently designed to bite into the tab on the gas tank to keep it from coming off in wrecks. Maybe the bike we saw didn't have this update. |

Badwebber "Smoke" (Tim) says he will be running races at Carolina Motorsports Park near Kershaw, SC this weekend: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158 664/675694.html?1334218615 I'd love to ride up, but my weekend is already booked. I'm sure he'd appreciate a Buell cheering section if anyone else can make it. |

Wow, this group is dead lately. I got around to doing a long-overdue oil change on my Uly this weekend, and discovered 2 things of interest: 1- LA Motorsports on Old Trolley Road in Summerville stocks Amsoil. They were a bit pricey (about $3/quart markup) but I figured it would have cost me that much to mail order it and have it shipped. 2- I went back to Formula + in my transmission/primary and it shifts noticeably better than the Amsoil 20W-50 did. I was happy with this lube in my S3 and Uly and I'm glad I've gone back to it. Don't forget the "Buells in the Alps II" meet in July. Cool. I work practically next door at the Army Corps of Engineers (right across the street from the stadium). I've occasionally seen a Buell in the Citadel motorcycle parking lot, which is just off-campus (apparently they don't allow motorcycles on campus). Give us a shout when you get to the area. |

Certainly, I'll be in the area near the end of July. Lucky for me my brother is stationed there and is attending The Citadel so we'll both be going to the same school for the same degree. Irony anyone? |
