Did Mule quit riding? Or has he got another bike? I mean, I would be ashamed, but I put 8000 miles on the Harley this year so far. Jeep also called me, and said they wanted my jeep. At first, they wanted me to trade. I asked them if maybe they might be interest6d in just buying the Jeep back and paying off the note. They asked me to bring it down. I'm not asking for any more than what the note is worth on the Buell either. It just happens to be at blue book. As I keep paying it, I'll probably reduce the price, a little. The reason I think it's ok is because it's already ridiculously cheap what they are going for. I saw a bike the other day going for 2 grand. The motor alone is worth that. IF you wanted to build a chopper, you could do it with that for under 4. |

What, no comments on Mu1e? Last I heard, he had another bike in the garage. Just curious is all. Am I wrong about this? http://video.adultswim.com/robot-chicken/damnit-ch ips.html |

You're kidding me, right? I mean, I heard all about you guys, ranking on rice iron out there, taking all those fast corners and stuff. What do you think I am, Psycho? And I wouldn't want to wager a guess about Mu1e either. |

Happy X days. Hope all is well. My Buell is finally paid down below book value, at 4600. KBB says it's worth 5150 in xcellent condition. Thing is, it hasn't been running in a while. That's the saddest part to me. Between the Jeep and the Softail, there's really been no time to ride it like it should be being ridden. I need to get it down to Harley to get a battery for it and have the fluids changed. I'll probably have it trailered in. I do have the original ss seat and two others. The touring saddle that is on it now would need to be recovered, but the two tone sport seat is pretty good too. LSL drop downs in the front, sliders, and mirrors, etc. After I get it up and running, I might throw it on the market and see what I can get. I'd love to get out of the payment. I have other stuff I have to pay down too. Figure I'd test the waters here and give some fellow Buellers a chance to see if maybe there's anyone out there who might be interested. I am negotiable at this point. And, I can get off my lazy butt and maybe get some pics of it up that are recent. Let me know here if you want. I am still subscribed. |

Is there anybody that works on Buells in the Fort Myers area besides the HD dealer? |

I'm back. Got more metal in my shoulder than it takes to build a new 1190RS but they tell me I'm gonna live. |

Buell XB12ss, pic in my profile. It basically looks the same. If you know anyone interested, who wants to wrench on it, let me know. It hasn't been ridden in about 2 years. I'd like to get it running and get it sold. If not, then I think maybe in march I am going to get it down to the dealer and make sure it is in running order, then put it on the market. Of course, if I do that, I'll be asking at least book value. I can take some more recent pics of it. I might be able to get it running myself, but I am no expert Buell mechanic. It's a great bike. It's beautiful, and it rides like a dream. The motor is totally stock, with no mods, so it is EPA compliant anywhere. Problem is, I have a 2008 softail, with a 96, 6 speed, and a 200 rear, which I am madly in love with, and ever since I got that bike, the Buell has just sat. Since riding time is at a premium, I just take the softail if I go out. It's heartbreaking to know that the bike is sitting, because it should be in the care of someone who can get the most out of it. It doesn't really have any of the heat issues of the post 07 models either. I have taken that bike around the Lake, and it performed flawlessly. Plus, it's close to 300 miles, and no comfort issues. Heck, I haven't ridden at all in a long time. Maybe tomorrow; this has got me thinking. I am still subscribed to this thread, so if anyone wants to reply, I get it in my e-mail as soon as it's posted here. Ride good. |

From Stuart, you'd be better going north into the Mt. Dora area. You're about 88 miles north of me and I am pretty far north of a lot of others. But the best riding is definitely in the lakes. |

I was kidding about the twisties. I spent about 12 years down there so I know the landscape. Figured I could split the difference between far south fl and up at the lakes since i'm in the middle. Just want to meet some new Buell folks and get some good time in the saddle- |

Hey all. Been thinking about maybe building a rigid chop using the Buell. I have seen frames that are good and would mate up to all of the buell parts, basically a direct swap, but the frames themselves aren't what I am looking for. I have also looked at a lot of sporty frames, but I don't guess they are tabbed right for the XB lump. For now I guess I'll keep looking. Does anyone know someone who has done this before, and do you have any pointers? Right now still in the early planning stages, will buy stuff piecemeal while I finish paying the XB off, in about a year. |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/683439.html?1339779939 A thread I started where aftermarket frames are discussed at great length. If you are looking for donors, try http://www.wreckedharleybikes.com There are a lot more options than those that were discussed. They have some way cool machines out there. Not all of them choppers or bobbers either. |

Buell status. Got the bike outside. Managed to get the seat off and put the battery on trickle charge. Tried to use a jump box, and the bike turned over, but didn't catch. Still on trickle charge now. Good news is, that the bike instruments will power up from the battery alone. It's just not enough yet to get the bike started. One issue. The two rear turn signals have both cracked at the rubber joints. I managed to get them taped up with a splint, and they are ok for now, but they'll need to be changed eventually. The Jeep is sold. No more cage. If I can get the Buell started, I will let it run and charge the battery, and take it for a spin. Then I need to give it a bath. I should have pix of it posted sometime this week. Then I am going to post it up for sale, and see if I can get it sold before the end of the month. I do not want to have to make the next payment, and would like to pay it off. Harley will do a seller assist. Once the ad is posted, I will post a link to the thread here, with Pix and video. |
