I am leaving in the morning for Springfast! Since the old stator can't be trusted I am going to truck it down to ABQ and then ride with the NM crowd to Arizona. I don't know who else form Colorado plans to go, but I will try and provide pictures and a report. |

Jody - Have fun and be well. I'll make a small fire of resistors and magnesium as an offering to the electrical gods for your trip. Put a fresh relay in the update harness before you leave. Seems the harness works if it was installed properly but the relay is handling 10x-plus the voltage it was designed for. It works, but the relay is a "consumable". Z |

Intriguing Zac! I didn't realize there was a relay in the harness. I will be at Bart's on Thursday doing some last minute preparation so we'll check that out then. I'm not sure I can get my hand on a spare if I need it, though. |

Loretta isn't affected by this stuff, but I understand it's a standard auto relay. It's rated at somewhere around 12v, the alternator puts out over 100 in the upper rpm... fries the contacts. I didn't believe it when he posted it, so I hooked up a scope and saw ~150VAC at ~9000rpm IIRC. I really haven't paid close attention, but Timebandit on the 1125 forum has the details sussed out. Have a fun trip Z |

Very cool, thanks Zac. I'm here at Bart's now. So go to AutoZone(et al) and ask for auto relay? Sounds too good to be true, almost. I might as well replace it tomorrow. :-) |

Yikes!!! Stay focused Jody. I'll watch the rest as I get time. Going in to work soon to finish a set of heads and start the next ones.... Gonna take tomorrow off, first day off in over a month. Dan and Cil are taking us to the stock car races in Dacono tonight! I haven't seen a live race in a very long time. Had a flat on the Uly in the garage, got that fixed yesterday. Hope all is well for everyone here. Zack |

I'm on my way back from the AMA races at Miller. I didn't realize that the only Superbike race was on Memorial day...and I was only able to stay through Sunday. I did get to see some sweet qualifying rounds. Geoff and Danny will be starting on the front row tomorrow (positions 3 and 4). I will be glued to Speed at 3:00 pm Monday...rooting for the EBR boys! |

At least you got to see them live for a little while. I may have to find a tv set to watch myself. Careful traveling back. |

Made it home late last night. Thinking about heading later this morning for a little canyon carving...then home by 3 pm to watch the race. Jody, you (and anyone else here) are welcome to join me. It sure seems like it has been relatively quite around here for a while (including me)...hope everyone is doing well. I got a PM from Nate (4_pete_sake) last Wednesday after he saw me on the 1125r...riding home in the pouring rain. It made me think of the special bond us Buell people share...and how I should participate and communicate better with you all. But in the end...the business of life keeps getting in the way. Hope everyone has a safe and fun Memorial day! |

Hey All, Next Sunday is the first of the month. For all that want to ride, lets meet @ Rocky Mountain H-D at 8:30 and do our normal loop to Red Rocks Grill for breakfast. Then perhaps a ride after. We, or I, will leave RM by 9:00. You're due to come north aren't you Jody? Bob |

Hey Bob, time permitting I would like to meet up with you guys. I couldn't make the early morning meeting time, but if y'all rode out to Deckers I might be able to meet you there. FYI, two guys from New Mexico and myself are planning a quick trip in two weeks. This will be kind of a research expedition to plan for the Southwest Buell Rally in August. The idea for the ride just sprouted two days ago. I will post up more info as I get it. |

Oh it was a blast. Even with all my slide outs. And you are so welcome. It's nice getting away from the daily crap. Would be fun to get together with a bunch of Buellers in the dirt. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on June 04, 2012) |

Ride today, Wednesday. Some of us are meeting at the Conoco in Morrison at 8:30am for a ride over Berthod pass, Granby, Kremmling, Dillon, Loveland pass and back. About a 200 mile ride. Sorry for the short notice but we just got it arranged last night. |

John, I hope Brian got my message this morning, about the Ride the Rockies bicycle tour that was going from Summit County to Granby via Ute Pass Rd. Did you guys stick with that route, or take something different? Jeff |

WE had a fantastic ride today. Was 225 miles for me. We had a big surprise in Silverthorne.
Henry is the VERY proud owner. He is planning on riding down to show it to the Club on the first Sunday in July at our monthly breakfast. The pics do not do it justice. He started it for us and OMG!!! He said it was dynoed at 195 HP at the rear wheel!!! It is the only bike that is the burnt orange and the only 1190rs in Colorado. |

Jeff, We took your advice. We saw riders coming from Ute pass at Parshal where it hits 40. Saw them also turning up Ute pass when we were coming down Highway 9 on the way to Silverthorne. Thanks for the tip about Henry's bike. You should ride down with him in July for breakfast in Morrison. |
