So I'm thinking eventually a 1050 kit, stage 1 heads, xb12 throttle body, xb12 header and a good dynotune should really wake this bike up. Will the 05 forks fit 03 trees? |

I don't know what part is bigger, but the 03 is 41mm and the 05 is 43mm. I have buells pro series springs I want to use for it, but it requires 05 forks. I'm not sure if it is just the internals that are larger or not |

I bought those from Low Country and they said they would fit the 03.....it's been awhile, talk to Mike in the back he would know. |

Charlie, i did some research and apparently buell was saying they would fit the 03's when they were developing the kit and then stated it would fit the 43mm forks only. Ill talk to Mike about it. |

Matt, if he has an 03 spring (fork) laying around and the dia. is the same then they should work. What about the rear spring?Have you checked that? |

Hi, y'all.
Somebody started on thread on planned meets/rallys for 2012 on the quick board. Since the "Buells in the Alps" last year was a pretty big success, I plan on doing it again this year. Late July seemed to work out pretty well, apart from a H-O-T ride from SC until we gained some elevation in NC. Traffic wasn't too bad, rooms were available, and skies were clear.
I'm gonna throw July 27-29 out there as tentative dates for this year. If you have an opinion, please speak up.
I'll start a separate thread for planning the 2012 meet in a couple of days and post a link here. I'll also send an e-mail out to the SC Buell Rider's List when I get a chance. The thread on last year's meet is here:

Yea, Don, maybe you should mount a couple on the bike. That definitely hosed up your weekend last year.
I hope you can make it Charlie. I figured it'd be a good idea to give as much notice as possible this year so more people can plan. |
