I would like to start a list of Buell capable repair shops in the Wash. DC, N. VA, and Balt. areas. Baltimore HD/Buell - Been dealing with them for years for my two Buells. Great service. Motovation - Mechanicsville, MD - Just installed a rear tire on my 1125R. Dan, the tech, is a MMI Grad. who specialized in HD and Buell. Very meticulous and careful. Got the training on 1125's! Small shop, but great service! Please add to the list. |

Battley has treated me well over the years, though I've done no warranty work, other than the routine recalls for the 2006 Uly (bank angle sensor, side stand). They more or less straightened the beast out after I hit a deer a few years ago. I get no funny looks when I say I want to bring my Buell in for maintenance. They worked well with my insurance company and really did what I wanted in the end. The poor Uly is currently sitting at Whitt's H-D in Manassas, VA waiting for a voltage regulator...the battery stopped charging which left me on the side of I-66 a couple weekends ago (luckily, my wife was following in the car). Anyway, Whitt's was open on Sunday (Battley usually is not) which was GREAT because that's the day I broke down. They also didn't blink when I rolled my Buell up to the service desk. They just called yesterday to say that a new Buell voltage regulator solved the problem and that it was running, charging, and ready to ride. Very nice guys. Fellow inmate Ratbuell used to work at Frederick H-D/Buell and always had good things to say about their service. That's still a very pro-Buell dealer, but it's a bit of a trek to get there (great roads in that area, though). Finally, Myers Cycle in Kensington, MD: I have no idea what their history with Buells is, but one of their techs recently took a basket case X-1 of a friend's hands and had nursed it back to health. It was his first Buell, and I think he's hooked. So, if you're broken down in the Silver Spring/Bethesda area, you might have an option. |

Oops, Almost forgot about MRP Motorsports in Pasadena, MD. They have done suspension work and other things on a few local Buells, including mine. |
