Tripper... Glad you are ok. I know what you mean about trying to talk and it ain't happening. I was at a BMW rally a couple of years back with Sharon. Late in the last day I started having an issue with messed up blood sugar levels. Could think what I was trying to say... but I couldn't make much come out that was coherent! Finally got something to eat, and had to wait for things to normalize (OK... bad example... me normal!!). Unfortunately, we had to pack up the tent and stuff as it was getting late, and Sharon had no clue how things were originally packed to get it all (a ton of stuff) on the BMW. So... I stammered, staggered, and pointed at stuff for her to bring me, and got it packed up. By the time I finished, my blood sugar level was normal and I could function in a state that is normal for me, so we could ride home! Damn diabetes symptoms were coming and going for about 3 years, and it has been a year since ANY problems... no matter what I eat or if I go without eating for long periods of time. Just waiting for it to start again. Two of my three sisters have diabetes, my mom and one of my sisters have had heart surgery. It is very weird and frustrating to not be able to communicate. The clue I have when my blood sugar levels are messing up is when I start stammering and saying uh...um... alot, when I try to talk. Like I know what I want to say, but kinda forgot how to talk. Sharon usually catches on to it before I do. VERY glad to hear you are OK!!!! however... was it really necessary to post a photo??? You may be OK... but you are still ugly!!! VERY glad to see you post with the info!!!!!  | ||

I never have stopped at the TeePee. I lived in rural Gardner for 5 years. Left when it reached 5000 occupants, now it is 15000. I was shocked when I visited 2 weeks ago. You have to go out to Baldwin to see slow growth. | ||

I rode out toward Atchison north of Leavenworth about 10 miles after getting pulled over on Hwy 45 near Farley by a good looking female deputy. She looked at my bike and gave me a warning and let me go. I rode down Hwy 5 and then to Frankie D's for a hamburger, rode over to Mission and visited a friend and then rode over to St. Lukes to visit a friend who had surgery today, scary carotid artery surgery. Cruised down to the Plaza for a cold drink and checked out the bikes, run back north to Metro North and home. Did not see any Buells on the road. | ||

Everyone is laying low this weekend and playing with family. I went and saw the Spiderman2 movie. Much better than #1 but the 6year old was a litttle overwhelmed. Here's one from Sundays airshow. The commander of the Thunderbirds swore these KC area youngsters into the U.S. Air Force. How cool is that?  | ||

P.S. Tripper glad to see you didn't get too comfy in that hospital bed. I thought they "had you at..." those socks....hahahahahahaha I try to soak it in EVERYDAY! mostly end up soaking in it. I must be getting out of practice, but then again I haven't had a near-on death hospital trip in a few years.(knocking on wood)! enjoying your camera work ever more! and did I read: "hatless" and "on one wheel" posted recently? do I smell squid? hahahaha in other news.... I spent the weekend north of minneapolis, did some canoeing on the Mississippi River, and contrary to all I have heard about this river, we ran aground in the middle of it! the Mississippi! a couple of times! I still can't believe my "getting" fat pregnant wife can displace that much water. | ||

I made him run over behind his house, sure enough a few minutes pass and......Kaboom. he shows back up with 8 fingers and the cops are less than a minute behind him (fireworks are ILLEGAL where I live)...... Well I finally got really PO'd at my job this evening and quit, too much abuse for too little money. So now I got to find another in a hurry. Anybody got any leads? Maybe now I can attend some BRAG meetings. |
