Paul - love to see more pics of the M2 with the orange wheels being the only orange. I "inherited" the M2L she left behind - volcano gray, black frame, unpainted aluminum wheels. WishwishWISH it had orange frame and wheels...but might try to get things powdercoated a piece at a time. And since it needs tires... |

Did orange suddenly become the new black? Everybody has to have it. I hope so. I just got Sunset Orange plastics for the black XB9S you sold me. (see BW pics) Did that S2 ever get built? Last you said, it was bound for B'ville. |

Heading on a ride tomorrow. I think. Char (Whatever) is headed up this way sorta, on her way to Homecoming. I'm going to head down to Roanoke by way of the BRP, probably pass her going the opposite direction at some point, hook a U, and ride back up. Anyone bored and wanna come with? My CR needs a run... |

Jose, What Ducati model does your girlfriend ride? Was the suspension or seat lowered? A friend's wife is thinking of buying a bike...I think she is about 5'1" - 5"2". |

Lars, Maybe this Sun. Have you ever been to Coffee and Cars at City Dock, Annapolis on Sunday mornings. I think 0800? Got an E-mail from Clinton Cycle today. They have two Honda 250 factory race-type bikes for sale. Ad says they are street legal models. If I remember right, they were very exotic and rare. They are saying 150 mph un-restricted. Also, a yamaha TW-250? for sale. What is the meet-up time this Sun.? |

Ok, went back and looked at the ad again. There are color pics. Very nice. 2 Honda NSR-250 SP SE models, dry clutch, single-side swingarm, very limited Honda Moto GP type bikes, 5K miles each. Yamaha TZR 250SE, only 3K miles, as close as you can get to a factory Moto GP racer. I have to go check these out tomorrow. |

Terp, Linda has a 696, the seat height is pretty low stock and she has no issues riding it. She loves it! |

I'd be interested in the races for sure. Have to see what the spousal unit might plan and I'll apply for a kitchen pass.

I always thought someone like Bob's needed to be a Buell sponsor dealership. Not to say the HD guys didn't do a fine job at various locations, they just seemed better suited to the BMW crowd. It is still a different beast. |

Heading up to summit point to do a track day. A half mile from the track I hit a deer. Luckily I stayed on the bike. Buell 1, deer 0. It's scratched the plastics from the front to the back and broke the clutch lever. |

Wow! Sounds like a side-swipe? That sucks, but glad to hear it wasn't as bad as it could have been and you stayed on. I hit one a couple years ago head-on. ATGATT (and the way I landed) saved my bacon. Lots of damage to the bike, but I got it back together. Just a few weekends ago it almost happened again: a deer galloped across the road in front of me, missing me by 15-20 feet. It just goes to show that you can be as talented and safe a rider, but there are some things out of your control - all you can do is prepare for the unpredictable. The dudes wearing jeans and t-shirts (especially this weekend) are really gambling on their skin. Public Service Announcement over. |

A very hard side swipe. A split second either way could have been much worse. ATGATT!...and some luck. |

Had a nice ride down to TN/NC and the Deals Gap area. That place has really grown up since last I was down there. The Buell broke down on me while I was down there. It looks like it might be an internal engine problem, which means removal of the engine from the bike. Here is where I've done so far: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=4062&post=2086871#POST2086871 Anyone have a spare XB12 engine to stick in here for the meantime!? I saw the ebay one in Glen Burnie for an 08/09 Buell.... would it fit into an 04? |

The bike starts and idles just fine. Once I touch the throttle even just the slightest it cuts out. The throttle even feels different. It has less resistance to twisting it. Any thoughts? |

You could try pulling the airbox and look down the mushroom and check the throttle body shaft that opens the valve. When mine broke it acted like that a few times . I guess the valve was hung up at that point. After half a dozen starts stopped running altogether. I'm sure there are other causes of the same symptom though. Good luck |
