She told me that we could spend some QT this weekend and get some things figured out at the fireworks show @ Lake Oconee Sunday night. Well, she just called and said the fireworks show is tonight! Needless to say, that throws a wrench into my plans for the weekend. Instead of heading out tonight and having a good time, I gotta go listen to blah, blah, blah all night. How about linking up at Turner's Corner in the morning? I got absolutely soaked!!! It started pouring about 5 minutes after we left Turner's. This rain was monsoon status. Cars were pulling over, there was lightning striking at the same time the thunder was booming and the wind was knocking my @ss all over the place! All the streetlights in Gainesville were out and the fair weather cops would'nt even get out of their cars to direct traffic. I was in this 5hit for an hour and a half. I finally saw the edge of it around Jefferson and just started booking. It was beautiful after I got out in front of it. About 10 minutes after I got in the door the bottom fell out. I got completely soaked to the bone but had a good time. Though my sanity was questioned by just about everybody who saw me. The roads were really wet but I think we road the ••• end of it all the way home. Great to meet everyone that I didn't know all ready. I was really cool owning the mountain like that. I stopped by my folk's house for a minute. B_S: I was really cool... Really? It was cool to be up there and to get to hit the good roads with no one else out there. The damn rain just has got to cut us some slack !!!! I was a bit disappointed that we had such a strong presence and weather which kept us from shredding our tires. But I'll take it. It was very cool to have so many of us up there together. Thanks everyone for making the effort on the fourth when there is so much friends and family stuff to do. I know we all have other stuff going on. Rodi, Gov, NewR: It was very cool to get a ride in with ya'll. Gov / Mini: I know ya'll are far away... If you can make it the meeting, that would be cool. Our group is growing in numbers and strength. I'm proud as hell to be a 3%er!! Stealth: I got rained on when i left my folk's house. But, that was it. You can get the T/S for your bike at the meeting. Sorry I didn't bring one. I just didn't know if it was right or left side until just now when I re-read your post :torqer right. I flaked and thought you were agreeing with me on something. Sorry. To all of you I met today y'all are a great bunch of folks and cant wait to do it again. Stopped by a friends house to say hello and drink a beer and the thunder and lightning hit hard. Waited about and hour and rode home in sunshine, go figure. Well I am not used to riding so much and am beat close to death, grabbing a sleeping pill and gonna rest for a hectic day at work, I already have enough cars waiting to fill the day. Will be busting myto get done on time. Again thanks to all the great people who made this ride awesome. My wife is coming home tonight so i may need to peel off from any ride early tonight. I have not even cleaned the frying pan from when she made breakfast Friday morning. Oops! May be we should do he meeting on Thursdays so we can head out to the Vortex ex-post facto. That way those who live further away wont have to double up on the long ride. Just a thought.
