Hey guys and possibly girls..... lol I'm from here, SC, but moved back about to the Summerville area about 5 months ago. I need to know where the good roads to ride are! Just riding back and forth to work isn't cutting the meat anymore! |

I've been riding to work this week- it feels positively cool after the hot ride I had on Saturday. I passed a guy on a white Firebolt this afternoon on highway 61; he was headed towards Charleston about a mile from the crosstown. I'm pretty sure he's a new owner, as he was wearing shorts. I'll bet it won't take him long to figure out that's not a good idea with an XB in hot weather (or any other bike or time for that matter). |

I ride to work daily and, yes, it is noticeably more comfortable, temp-wise. I am not wet with sweat so far this week when I get off. Now if we could only get some rain forecasted. (Emphasis on forecasted...) |

It's actually been cool (below 70 deg. F) on my ride in to work, and the commute home's not bad as long as you keep moving. It's when you get stopped in traffic that you cook. |

Alright- we need to get something going on a Buell meet. Since it's hot as the hinges on the gates of Hades here (I heard an old man say that when I was ~12 years old and it still cracks me up to this day), we should meet somewhere cooler, like the mountains of NC. I was thinking if it would be cool if we could pick a semi-central location and invite the 3%'s (mostly in Atlanta) and C3er's (mostly around Raleigh and further east). It just so happens that Little Switzerland, NC is almost smack in the middle between all of us. It's on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and there are two awesome roads leading right up to it and plenty of others nearby. Decent hotels nearby in Marion and several campgrounds in the area. Anybody interested? I have no date in mind yet, just throwing this out there. |

Hugh, I'm interested, as long as I replace my brakes first, should be in the next week or so, that and if i'm not traveling, which I have been doing a lot lately, I rode my bike to Wilmington NC for business last week, going up there wasn't to bad but the traffic totally sucked coming back |

Looks like this is generating some interest (I also mailed it to the e-mail list). The road 226a into Little Switzerland is now being promoted like the Dragon (and a few other motorcycle roads); they're calling it the "Diamondback". Here's some info on the road and lodging in the area: http://www.diamondbacknc.com |

Nick- there are LOTS of good riding roads in that area. There are already two yearly Buell events nearby in Suches, GA- March Badness and Buelltoberfest. I figured we'd try another location that might get more/different Buellers to attend. |

I just sent out another announcement for the Buell meet in Little Switzerland. I added 2 names to the distribution; if you don't get this one please let me know. Still trying to work out dates that will work for me. As soon as I do I'll throw them out there and see what the rest of you think. Hugh |

Got it- thanks. I'm gonna send out another e-mail shortly with some suggested dates for the Little Switzlerland gathering, probably July 15-17, July 22-24, or July 29-31. Be thinking if plan to attend and you've got any preferences. Anybody got any ideas for a catchy name for the thing (along the lines of March Badness or Buelltoberfest)? Throw 'em out there! |

Hugh I'm ok with that. I will be out of town the weekend before that and I think my dad has to work the same weekend I'm out of town so that may be the better choice from our side. |
