I did that for Shelly as well. No regrets here either. Always good to have an additional chase vehicle available as well. Odds are increasing that I will be there this year after all. I'm really looking forward to it. Who's up for a "up early" Uly ride? Plot a route with lots of curves, and include a couple of 10 or so mile gravel / easy dirt sections? There is one along the Cherohola, and parsons branch road. I've done the whole Cherohola one, and always wanted to do parsons branch. | ||

Always a pleasure to ride with you Ferris! When I say "no straight pipes", that wasn't a veiled Harley slam. It was to say that a whole day of riding behind somebody with unbaffled straight pipes pointed at my head gets tedious... that's all. Nothing personal to anyone. | ||

Hey Jim, maybe we'll break up into to groups of muffled and non-muffled bikes. We'll be there Thursday afternoon. Leaving out early Friday morning for a visit but we'll be back by early afternoon. Cookout Friday evening at Sellers place. We'll leave about 6:30 - 7:00 from the motel for all who might be going. | ||

Oh, and anyone who thinks the loud group will be the slow group hasn't chased Jim, Ferris (who isn't loud, but looks like he could be), Mike B, and the other locals around those mountains... They spent a LOT of time waiting for me to catch up... and were always gracious about it. I'm just becomming a sissy in my old age... | ||

Reep sold the big rear ended Zuk and bought a Herritage Softail... alot more chrome and alot less power, but hey i aint gettin any younger!!!! I can ride with the quiet group too just better have me at the tail!! It wouldnt be a complete ride without someone peeing off of something.. hehehe | ||

Ian, we're pulling out early a.m. on Thursday. We would wait until you get from Elkhart to Hartford City. Fireman Jim posted back in time that he would try to make it. When he decided he would indeed join us I thought it'd be a cool surprise for some who were attending if we kept it stealth. But, as fate would have it, several have emailed me to find out if he was really coming. In the spirit of George Washington I have to tell ya... FIREMAN JIM is coming to the ride! Reep, Take care of what you need to. You'll be there in spirit and I'll hoist a few for you. I'll be out of town until Thursday afternoon in CO, but am getting travel plans set up with a few others that are coming down. Heather's sister and her family are coming down to visit us Saturday, so she'll not be able to attend, and I'll need to do my normal post-Franklin early wakeup call to get back for the pool party... It's all good though. |
