I just looked at weather...it is supposed to rain this weekend... there is supposedly a 30% chance of showers on Sunday. I am fine with being cold, but cold AND wet is not my strong suit. Depending on weather, I will be out riding... I have rain gear, but my significant other does not. I probably should break down and get her some...heck, I should get heated gear too, but no money for that at the moment. |

I have an extra pair of rain pants that were Debbies. You are welcome to them if they fit your wife. They are just taking up space. If its going to rain, I may just go dirt riding both days. |

Dirt biking?? Dang, Bart. How many bikes do you have here now? I see that there are some people already signing up for the first track day. I can't wait for track time.... so I'm not going to. I'm heading over to Phoenix at the end of the month for a race. Bart you and Debbie going to be around? |

we will see.... I'm definitely riding Friday after work, and most of Saturday. I may take Sunday to prep the track bike for the season. I need to gut it of all it's useless components and hopefully get some race plastics for it. Yes Kim, I bought my track ticket yesterday...so that is probably me you saw getting my ticket... I too cannot wait |

I am at UNM right now, and am majoring in Media Arts. I was trying to get a degree in graphic design, but UNM didnt have a program for it until the semester after I started, and it was just a test program at the time which only accepted people with a near perfect GPA (my 3.6 didnt qualify at the time). Now that I can apply they have made it a 4 year program regardless of when you start it (even though I have 90+ credits I would have to tack on another 4 years before I graduate,)so I am sticking with Media Arts. Most positions in graphic design like AV and video editing experience in addition to graphic design experience. long story short, I have all sorts of film history classes I have to take in order to graduate. right now I have the history of Silent film, Advanced Video Art Production (film making), and Alfred Hitchcock film history Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 until 9PM (one class per night) |

Alfred Hitchcock would be fun. I dig movies. I just usually dislike all the pompous asses that make them. |

It is actually a good class, and my instructor is pretty cool. The only down side to it is I am super tired after working all day. Sitting in a dark room for 3.5 hours watching films makes me kinda sleepy, especially the silent film class... |

Kim, I only have four here in town, but I do have the XB listed on fleaBay, and Craigslist. I only ride it once a week or so, I tend to ride the CR most of the time. |

Bart, Only 4? What's up with that? I expected at least 8. I thought about making that into a race bike, but this year the 675 is thunderbike and supertwins legal. Go figure. It would still be a better around town bike then the sprint since it's light and smaller. Unfortunately all my cash is tied up in the race bikes. |

I sense some sarcasm ^^ The seat leaves little to be desired, but it is a race bike at heart. |

675s are in Super Twins? Thunderbikes? There is nothing about a short stroking 675 that evokes the sound of thunder. I suspect the Super Twins class just got a little bigger. Two big ones is now the same as three smaller ones... |

"Two big ones is now the same as three smaller ones..." why dont they just add the 600's in there too?? if 3=2, then why not 4?? I think they are trying to combine classes to bring more competition to the races. for a while Super twins was being run by 4...maybe 5 bikes total werent they? I want to take the Buell back out, as I fit on it a little better than the CBR 600... but I specifically bought the 600 as a track bike to save the 1125 from almost certain destruction lol, so I guess I wont be competing with you ;( |

There were a total of 11 racers in Amateur SuperTwins - mixed Novice and Expert. There were a few days with as few as 5. I prefer this class over the Novice GTO (750 and up) which is usually FILLED with 4cyl Litre bikes and younger riders lacking the same concern I have for self-preservation I was in Detroit recently - visited The Ford Museum and Rouge plant in Dearborn, MI. If ever in that part of the country, this is a "must see" for anyone interested in US history, industrialization, cars and trucks (in general), and a first hand look at lean factory production of the most popular vehicle in the US - the F-150. Highly recommended... |

I was at UNM yesterday and saw another tuber parked at Dane Smith Hall. It was an X1 decked out in carbon fiber with a polished tail section. Anyone here own that bike? It was the first time since buying my X1 that I'd seen another tuber in Albuquerque. |

not I... I have an 1125 that I park there on occasion, but usually park between the art building and the performing arts center... kinda by Woodward hall. I used to park by ortega hall, but they moved all the spaces further away from my classes. I have seen a yellow firebolt there on occasion. |

Every once in a while, I miss UNM. When I went there, you could park your motorcycle on the south side of Mitchell Hall, or NW corner of Zimmerman. Dane Smith Hall didn't even exist. |

So, nobody riding this weekend? LOL, since the weather is so crappy, and the Enduro gives me such a good workout, I took it out for a 40 mile ride south of the raceway. Not a whole lot out there, but open range, a few cows, and this lone tree...
It was so much fun, I might have to do it again tomorrow. Maybe I'll head north this time. |

Yep, crushing debt indeed... But hey, if I get to do research on freshwater fish, even if it's purely lab work, I'll be happy to pay off that debt for years to come. EDIT: Oooh, you mean house debt... right... Gonna have to get some house debt someday too. x_x (Message edited by DesertFox on February 27, 2011) |

"Reality bites." yeah... it does... I shouldnt be too much in debt. I will be able to manage. Got all the blinds hung in the house this weekend and it is all clean. I only had time to get a few pieces of furniture in, but we arent doing out big move for a couple weeks yet. I am going to work on the back yard next weekend (yay for 5 tons of rock to move!) Bart, your weekend sounds fun! I rode around on Friday night a little bit with some buddys. I got to meet XBmustang from this board. He posted a new thread in here at the end of December, but since it was a new thread, no one saw it. anyway, I figured I would meet up with him for a ride. He's a pretty cool guy. After hearing his XB9S with the race pipe on it, it makes me kinda miss my old XB9R that I bought from Nick a while back and then sold after I got my 1125R. |
