For those who posted earlier...SV650 possibly for sale...w/extras. Anyone going to the SMRI awards dinner? Hey, Nick. I planning on going, I think Xen is too. There should be lots of people there that you know. You need to be there to get your trophy. CJ needs that SV for a track bike.... just sayin. (Message edited by buell_nm on December 31, 2010) |

RE: THE SV...I was going to race the SV in Am Club Sport so I started removing the street stuff and adding track stuff. I just put on a GSXR (triple clicker) shock in the rear; the front has RACE TECH springs and emulators. DOT race tires, EBC brakes, clip ons, and its already wired... 2004 SV650 w/clean title - never raced - only two track days - under 9K street miles. If CJ or anyone else is interested, let me know. If I can sell it at a reasonable price, I will. I have my eye on something new...from Erik Buell Racing maybe As for the banquet, I was going to go regardless of the trophy. I went last year and it was a good time... GOOD FOR MOTORSPORTS IN THE ALBUQUERQUE AREA...and GOOD for SMRI. BTW: a 4th place trophy is a consolation prize...hope to do better next season. Although I think it is significant that Buell 1125R (essentially stock) bikes were 3rd and 4th in SuperTwins class. |

Banquet is at the Nativo lodge on Jan 15th startin at 6pm, you'll need to buy your tickets on line at the SMRI site. 4th is a great place to start Nick. I ended up 4th in a couple of divisions, too. |

I'm happy for my first full season. I need suspension and I need to go to another school... (I was surprised I was even getting a trophy...) |

4 days off, sub-freezing temps, I need to ride! Screw it, the roads should be somewhat clear, I'm heading up the Crest to see how the road is. Then I'm heading down to the Ponderosa for lunch... I am getting cabin fever sitting here, I NEED to get out! |

I'd love to have a nice track bike, but it's not in my budget anytime soon. Bart: I went for a long run today instead of a ride. Only two weeks left until my marathon. I'll be looking to set up a "Freezing Balls" ride sometime soon, maybe early February. |

not going to the dinner this year. I have other plans that weekend (anniversary/ out of town trip). I didnt race last season, so I am not getting a trophy or anything. I went last year though, and it was a lot of fun, so I suggest if you can go...you should go! |

I need to go to another school I highly recommend the YCRS (yamaha champions riding school) I went in Dec. It was fantastic, I picked up some more speed and learned few new things. I really thought it was worth every penny. |

Thanks for the school recommendation...that one is on my list of possible schools. There was some talk about the Doug Polen school bringing their road show school to ASMA but I've not heard any more bout it. |

Well, Xen and Murrae said they bought the school and were going to bring it to Deming this winter. I also haven't heard anything more about it. |

YCRS... it is the best out there. I also liked the Star School, but I really got a ton more from ycrs. That Polen deal didn't work out. |

cancel that... apparently the site crashed and he is re-building it. stay tuned for more. For those of you who care, I finally put in an offer on a house yesterday on the West side (way West at 98th and Ladera just North of I40) Hey at least it is closer to the track |

Congrats Adam! That's not a bad neighborhood. I got out for a ride today, went up the crest, still icy, and lots of sand. then down to the Ponderosa for lunch. Only 110 mile day, but it did help cure my PMS. |

Thanks all! They did accept my first offer on the house, we should be closing around the 25th of Feb. as for the bike, I am still having issues with my clutch cover... its still leaking. have an appointment with SFHD on Saturday to have fixed, but it is pissing me off. I am still able to bleed the line and add more fluid, but it doesnt last too long anymore. I am going to have to ride it up to Santa Fe on Saturday in the cold if anyone is up for a ride |

I might get out in the afternoon either Saturday or Sunday or both, on the Firebolt. Still haven't taken the Uly up for service since I dropped it. |

glad to see there arent a bunch of fair weather riders on here lol.. I know a lot of guys who have their bikes winterized and wont ride until it starts warming back up. I dont get much of a chance to take mine out, or at least I havent for the past few weeks. I rode it to class last night, but wasnt too cold out. |

you are a cheater lol. I just tough it out. I wear a jacket, winter gloves, pants and boots and a helmet. The only real winter gear I ever ride with is a ski mask, and occasionally a pair of sweat pants under my jeans. as for the Buell Rally, I would be up for going this year for sure. I regret missing last year's. as far as a location for said event, I am without ideas, but that is where CJ comes in... I hear he is good at finding locations (Message edited by agfish18 on January 20, 2011) |

There will be a rally this year. Count on it. I have to nail down dates and location, routes, etc. I suspect we'll have considerably less swag this year since there isn't any Buell branded do-dads being made anymore. But we'll do t-shirts again and I know an embroidery guy, so if people are interested, we could probably do up some hats or other stuff. I will be blatantly ripping off logos and stuff, so I hope that doesn't offend anyone! |

I would purchase a shirt, hat and patch if available. I'm definitely coming this time. Are most of the rally participants badweb members? Maybe we could get our web-names on the shirts to identify each other? Those little (hello my name is) stickers will work too. |

I think that most are badweb members, but I know last time there was some interest on the other boards (Buellxb.com, Buelletinboard) from a few members. I think that it would be a great idea to have names, but that may make the shirts more expensive as they will have to make each shirt different. |

Well, a thought along those lines: It might be fun to get the shirts screened with the image of one of those "Hello my name is:" stickers and then when you get your own shirt, you could just get your name embroidered in that spot. That might be kinda funny. We could make it "On BadWeb, they call me:" Or something like that. |
