I haven't ridden in a few weeks...been way to busy doing floors...still not done but close overstressed my left shin muscle and achilles tendon with all the getting up/down and even if I catch a break in the time frame I'm not sure I could shift...any movement in my ankle is extremely painful right now so I'm takin it easy hope to be out and about on the trusty steeds soon Happy Thanksgiving to all |

Ok, so, not that anyone will actually read this, but yesterday I was out riding by myself, and on my way home something very cool happened. I was on the "flyover" from 595E to 441N and as per my usual, I was pushing the limitations of my comfort zone and skill. I felt, and barely heard, a metalic scraping, so I stood the bike up a bit. When I got home and checked the feeler on the peg there were no scratches, but I did discover that my kickstand does not tuck in tight, and that I had scraped my kickstand... and the outside of the rubber on my boot!!! Now, all of that being said, I am not going to drive like that on the street anymore because of all of the variables and the risks they pose. I am, however, looking forward to leaving the county and going to a track day!!! |

Cool! Touching pegs on an XB lightning is getting cranked pretty far over, almost far enough to get a knee down. Definitely time for a track day! |

Hey, Kilroy... I have to go sometime, and if the flyover would have taken me out, well, at least I would have gone out smiling I did say that it is out of my system now, until I can get to a track... I just hope the people when I go are better than the people who were there when guy_glover went this last time. He said he could have out drove most of them with the wife's BLAST! |

always reading just not always inputing Amy. hope all is well. I've been injured and other than work on the house going slower than usual due to injury not much going on. I haven't ridden either steed due to pain and swelling whenever utilizing my left ankle. getting better and hopefully will be able to join in some riding soon. glad you came away unscathed and a little wiser. my realization to aggressive street riding came one year at Daytona test riding the then "new" Nightster (go ahead and laugh) but I leaned over hard at speed and sparks were flying and the rear was beginning to wash out, had to stand it up and cross some lanes and managed to slow enough to recover the turn. Kosack was behind me laughing and saying he though I was down for sure with all the sparks and air under the rear tire. thats why I stay behind you guys on those higher speed turns, I dont bounce like I used to. how/when are you ditching/ignoring the ankle timebomb to leave and do a track day. reduced sentence I hope, we all do feel for your restrictions and know how much you like to ride, it would be beyond cool for you to be able to cross county lines and be able to play at all hours. |

As for the flyover, I was not in a situation of being out of control, but am waiting to get to a controlled environment! As for the time bomb, i am trying to get early termination!! How is the house coming? when do you think you will be done? |

Tepid, just saw this and thought of the discussion we had here previously. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158 664/603119.html?1292492069 this is not to corroborate either of our positions. it is however good information for those who want/need to know. I realize they are referring to 1125's here, but there are threads where others have swapped to the 47mm Showa's on their XB's and in the case of the XBSS much like yours the ride height is more or less close to stock with no need to play with triple tree height. just saying and just keepin the other S Floridians informed who dont regularly visit outside of the XB and Stormfront forums |

Took the Penguin race school at Homestead. Never rode against a slower bunch of guys on any track day I've been to. One guy asked what he had to do different in a left turn than a right,Said he was staying to race the next day. SCARRY!!!!! |

I met with Darwin (fresh12r) and Edoardo (the_italian_job) last night @ Hooter's and we went for a short ride afterwards. an S1, an XBR, and an CR for a timeline of sorts for the Hooter's crowd great holiday wishes for all |
