You ought to see Iowa! I went to dump some limbs and grass clippings in the country where I do some deer hunting and couldn't even go down that road to get to it! Water is about 3 feet deep across the road. Dave |

Here in Milwaukee (where we just dup the raw sewage anywhere now) there are people fishing in Lake Michigan getting their lines cuaght on floating diapers. I also saw a guys pontoon boat sitting in his backyard which was under water from the Milwaukee river. |

Have to jump in on some recent conversations. When is the rally? Things are VERY busy for the end of the school year for me. Haven't seen my family much and it looks like that won't change for a while. But I may find a day off and if it coincides with the rally day(s), I would like to come along. Discussion about oil - Would I be better off running Mobile 1 in the bike? I use it in my car, but the Buell is still on HD oil. Will be changing the primary/trans oil soon too. Should I switch over to synthetic on that as well? |

Tom.... Bringin' it Home: Delevan & East Troy from June 2-4 (that's a Wednesday-Friday). Elkhart Lake races on Saturday, June 5. Group leaving from Appleton on Saturday & Sunday for the races. I'm going on Sunday. The perpetual oil debate: You'll find some people swear that you should use nothing but synthetic oil in your Buell. Others feel there is no benefit. I use Mobil 1 and change approx. every 1500 miles. As for the primary, I found the bike shifts better (less missed shifts) with Mobil 1 Gear Lube. One thing to rememeber; you can't go back to standard gear lube after using synthetic. Does that help?!?!?!? |

On Thursday let's ride to Sauk Prairie for the lunch, then back to East Troy for the factory tour, dinner and group photo. Who wants to lead the way to Sauk? I figure it's about 2 1/2 hours or so, we should leave about 9ish? Dave |

It's a tight squeeze going to Sauk and back (if you want to ride any of the good roads). I'll take a look at my Gazetteer for a good route. I have something in mind for one direction. As for getting back, I'd rather get an extra hour in the saddle and skip the tours (been there, done that). |

CJ, As I understand it, everything is at Lake Lawn on Weds. Lake, I agree but it depends on who else is riding with us, if they want to go thru the factory. I figure we can play a little on the way there and then if we do have to make it to East Troy in time for the tours we could just blaze back. We'll just play it by ear. Dave |

Dave: Is the Blast traded in yet? The co-worker who wants an M2 is looking at a ceiling of $5000. If you know of anything within the area, fill me in. The rally is out of the question though - I will be out in CO. |

Made a few "changes" to the S1W last night (thanks to the Buell factory guy for his insight). After a brief shakedown ride (about 20 minutes), I'm starting to feel (or lack there of) the S3 would be a better ride for next week. <slap> Okay, I'm back to reality. The S1W will be the ride of choice! |

M2 No Blast yet. I don't have any used M2s right now either. I will stay on it though and let you know. Lake, Yes, the S1W is the ride to take to the rally. Ride to the edge! Dave |

Dave....call my cell 920-737-8020. I have an idea for you, Geoff & whomever regarding very awesome but very cheap (read: FREE) lodging about 1 hour from Lake Lawn. It would save you about 1 1/2 of riding each day. |

Just a note to let you know that Hal's has tickets to Road America for sale at $30.00 per day, cash only. So if any of you are freeloading for the weekend and want to pick up tickets for Saturday at Road America, contact a local buddy or Hal's at www.halshd.com and make arrangements to have them either pick up or hold the tickets for you. Enjoy! |
