Looks like fun, Eric. I'm starting to miss my Uly. One of these days I'll have the time and the motivation both together to put the new throttle body on it. Lately I've been working on getting my GSX-R back on the street. I put a new subframe on it to replace the one that got trashed at Tally, and I've been working on putting lights and signals on it. So far I've got $28 invested. I bought some cheap driving lights from Wal-Mart and some cheap signals from Cycle Gear. I mounted them on brackets made from aluminum flat stock and an old UPS battery case I had laying around. I used the stock taillight, mounted with zip ties. This is what my taillight bracket started as: Testing the fit: After more cutting and painting: The headlight bracket. The paint's drying on this now: Someone suggested I should wrap my exhaust, but I don't know why.

Hey all! I am going to have to buy a new pipe soon. My race pipe has alot of rust on it and one of the spots is turning into a whole now. I am thinkin of either the D&D pipe or the Jardine GP-1. I've heard the D&D, but never the jardine gp-1. I did some you tube videos on it. anyone got any input or thoughts, bad or good, on these two pipes?? thanks again Oh ya, when is buelltoberfest? |

Hopefully your drive back will be better than my ride back yesterday! I bought a bike (a 2007 BMW K1200GT) on eBay and flew to Tampa, FL yesterday morning to ride it back. I got soaked to the bone. It started pouring about 50 miles south of Jennings and didn't let up. By the time I hit Perry, I was ready to throw in the towel and find a hotel. I sat it out in a gas station until I stopped shivering, and it eased up enough that I could see again, though, so I tore ass home. The last mile before my exit was a parking lot because an accident had closed down 5 lanes right at PIB. I was too tired and cold and wet to give a crap about other drivers, so I just jumped over onto the shoulder and rode it all the way down. For the first time in like 5 hours I was glad I was on a motorcycle. Here are a few cell phone pics I took along the way. Gassing up and leaving St. Pete Beach: I stopped at the Jennings exit after the first thunderstorm: Perry, GA. I stopped at a gas station here to warm up for a bit and put on more layers. I made such a wet mess that the clerk brought out a mop and starting cleaning reproachfully. I found a $10 bill on the floor, so it was totally worth it. Finally home, and I had near terminal prune hands. So I guess now it's time to start shopping around for a high vis jacket, a modular helmet, and a cup holder for some Starbucks. |

> Nice. How do I become a member of the motorcycle of the month club ? and do they have a free trial membership ? The funny part is that the beemer cost significantly less than my Ulysses did when I bought it new. It's amazing how quickly things depreciate. > What's the gauge above the speedo ? Radar detector. It has a laser jammer as well. |
