Matt- where are you staying for Buelltoberfest? I checked with Kristi, and they're already booked solid at C3 Central, so we booked a room at "the Lodge at Copperhead", home base for April Buell's Day this year. It's about 20 miles away, southwest of Blairsville. I'm not sure they have any rooms left either though. |

Mighty quiet here lately. Hope you have a good trip to the foothills/mountains Charlie. I spotted a white Buell X-1 on Bacon's Bridge Road at Dorchester Road yesterday as he was headed towards Summerville. Anybody we know? There used to be a similar bike in my neighborhood but I haven't seen that one in years. |

They had a lot of triumphs on the floor, seemed like a decent place, It's going to mostly depend on work when I get a new bike |

Yea, so far. The 1125CR and the Ascot actually have a very similar power band- it's just that the 1125CR is about 3X the horsepower! |

While stuck in a 5 mile long traffic jam on I-26 this morning on my Uly, I was passed by a guy with a red XB12XT Uly with SC tags. Looked to be an 08 or 09 with the comfort kit installed (yea, we were sitting still THAT long). Anybody here know who it might be? |

I was thinking about doing Caesar's Head on a clear day. It was still fun in the fog but I am sure it would be a blast in the sun. |

well im not sure if the deals gonna work out. Im heading up on the 14th. Probably going to truck it up, what kind of ramps do you use to load your bike? My truck being a 4x4 is even more of a pain to get the bike up into it. |

You should get a trailer with a ramp that you could just ride up on. That way it is low and you can put your feet down whenever you would need to. It would be good if you knew someone with one that you could borrow unless you had the coin to drop on one. I don't have one though. Just an idea. Matt- I've got a wooden ramp (2x8) with an aluminum clip thingy on the tailgate end that works pretty well. The clips came in a set I bought at WalMart for ~$20. I bought a stool that I stand next to the ramp so I can step up as the bike goes up the ramp and then onto the tailgate. I can get any of my bikes on the truck by myself as long as the truck is pointed just a little downhill. I also have two folding steel ATV ramps that I bought at Sam's but they're a little too short (and hence too steep) for even my 2WD truck when trying to load a motorcycle, but they work OK for a riding mower. Your best bet is to keep your eye out for a shallow ditchbank/low earth mound /etc. that you can back your truck up to. Even if it's not as high as your tailgate, it'll make the angle for a ramp less and make it easier to load a bike. If you can get it on the truck here, I'm sure once you get to C3 you won't have any problem finding a place to unload. |
