I'd probably be interested in joining you. Where exactly is the race? Pacific Raceways in Kent? Faron @ GixxerTek.com in Tacoma provides excellent service, usually able to do on-bike tire changes while you wait, particularly if you coordinate ahead of time. Additionally, you can select to ship your desired tires directly to him using the Preferred Installer program from MotorcycleSuperstore.com. Doing so can easily save you over $100 on a set of tires. | ||

After the meeting, I intend to ride directly to NW Harley-Davidson of Lacey to meet up with some other riders there around 2pm and participate in the final leg of the Defenders Ride 2010 to publicize their fight against the trafficking of minors for purposes of sexual exploitation. I had 2 exceptional experiences today. One at the Service Department at Downtown H-D in Renton and the other with Faron at GixxerTek in Tacoma. Great attitude and service at Downtown. Thanks for fitting me in, Brian. Also, you won't find a more professional person with a spotless shop than Faron at GixxerTek. He should charge twice what he does. He knows his stuff and treats your bike right. I'm glad he's on his own. The shop that used to have him must be kicking themselves in the ass. | ||

Gixxer Tech, (not sure of the spelling) is supposed to be pretty good, and in your area. If ya want a HD shop, Down Town HD would be your best bet. | ||

Hey all, The 13th annual SPLASH ride this past weekend was fantastic! 25 bikes left from Woodland WA Saturday morning. It was good to get together with old friends and welcome new riders to our fun. I'm happy to report no riders down and only minimal hardware issues. Special thank's to Green Eric for preriding the route, finding the option out of Trout Lake, and putting on a great riders meeting prior to the ride. Plans are in the works for BORDER RAID 2010, there is a link at the top of STORM FRONTS: this will be epic.  Can't wait to see ya'll in a few weeks, Chris | ||

Tech question for the track day. Does the crank breather need to go to a catch can or can it vent to ground? | ||

It doesn't need to any different from stock. "Tech" checks to see that the lights/mirrors/turn signals are taped or removed and that the bike is in good overall working condition and the tires have legal tread. One or two-piece leathers or textile gear, gloves, boots and DOT helmet are required. Google adrenaline freaks for more info and to register for Aug 13th trackday at Pacific Raceways.
