Kristi, I'm still not sure of Sandy's schedule for this event. If she can make it we are going to stay at the Lodge Copperhead, and do the little twisted commute back and forth. If she cannot make it, I will be tent camping at TWO. I hope she can make it, she really enjoyed it the last time she went.  | ||

The 17th is the last day of vacation which means I'd have to get up early on Sunday and ride 550 miles home. Yeah, that's going to happen!!  I guess I'll try moving vacation a week later if they'll let me. If not I think Monday I'll be calling in SICK! Getting up early after a Saturday night around the campfire ain't going to happen! Either way, I'll be at TWO Thursday night and I won't forget the beer this time! | ||

Rode this past Saturday and it felt pretty good. Riding to work today and hopefully the rest of the week so maybe, just maybe I will have enough flatland seat time to feel comfortable to face a wee bit of 60 during Buell-toberfest. Hoping Scoot's bike will be running by then so she and I can do some practice runs to the firehouse. Here's to hoping and facing your fears! | ||

Well Kristi, she has put in for the time off, she won't know for a while if she will actually get it though. If she does we will likely be staying at the Lodge Copperhead. We will just have to commute to TWO and such places. My open invitation for Ya'll coming down from the Great White North for a lay over East of Knoxville Tn is still on. There has been a change in facilities that I will attempt to rectify. I sold the 'Death Star', the fifth wheel camper, as it finally ran out of lives. Last winter's wet and freezing really put the kibash to it. It was great as a bathroom facility, rest home with heat, 'fridge, electrical outlets, and a place to hide from the weather, and on and on. The fire pit, the pool and camping area are still on, but I got to work on the basic need of a bathroom facility. We may have other company staying in the house, so it could be over worked at that time, I will keep you posted about that. Might be time to finish the bathroom in my shop.  Or who knows.....the next version of the 'Death Star' might show up by then. | ||

I will plan to have everything loaded and ready by Thursday so we can get there by noon Friday. That should make her available to be at TWO by 1:30-2:00 or so for a Friday ladies romp to Helen. Hopefully that will help with your planning. | ||

Dayum, Vern, gonna miss you at the campsite... OTOH.... Who all is planning to attend BTF and staying at Copperhead? Having access to a pool, HOT TUB, and various amenities might sway me towards staying there. How far from TWO is it? How much $$$, roughly, for a sack like me? At this writing, I'm recovering from a leg/ankle injury- laid my Shovelhead down in wet grass last Friday, smooshed everything below the knee. No breaks, thank God, but still everything's smooshed and painful. I'm hoping I'll be in good shape (physically and financially) by then to make the trip, but it's still touch and go. Still planning on being there, looking for the best game plan, default is still heading down to camp at TWO... Vern- sounds like your health has returned! Looking forward to some riding and Ben-Gay with you next month! | ||

Kristi- since you are the den-mother at C3 Central, here's an idea: Given that there are at least 3 different main "home" sites for the weekend, do you think there's a chance to coordinate for one day, all together, for a big cookout or something? This is a logistics question, with an element of cat-herding, but it would be fun to have all the cool peeps congregate at least once for some quality time. Just something to think about- I appreciate your brain power and good spirit! | ||

Kristi- since you are the den-mother at C3 Central den-mother, no...BIC, yes!! We usually gather at C3 Central after a day of riding. Folks are always welcome to come for porch time. The driveway sucks, but the company is great! Trying to plan a cookout for so many might get interesting, but worth talking about if people are interested. Otherwise, after dinner we can just plan for porch time. Thoughts, suggestion? | ||

Is anyone bringing an actual on/off road dirt bike? I have seen in the past where some folks brought along a dirt squirter for some trail action. Any of that going to happen this trip? I may be able to get my XL250 back to the living by then. As long as I am bringing the Uly and Blast on the truck it would take little extra effort to bring it along. Maybe I should shoot Dave Dispane an E mail!  | ||

Frank - you know we do. Put about 50 miles on the M2L today with its fresh battery, just buzzin around the block. Needs new shoes (those ol' D205's handle like a SKATEBOARD), but that'll be handled by BT4. I'll be on the Uly. You want a CR? S1W? Or S2? Maybe we should put you on the Blast... | ||
