Glad to see another successful rally. Don't know how they keep getting better. Rain gods frowned a little this year. Make note to sacrifice virgin next year. Tuff in WVa. Two down, neither were Gary. Thoughts and prayers for speedy and full recovery for both. I see one is in Morgantown. Please keep us updated. I only live about 10 miles north if anything is needed for a Buell brother. Passed a orange Uly and another bike headed south on Rt 52 near Pilot Mt. at about 3;30 Sunday. Maybe Carlos & Webe? Well that is what I thought of anyway. Wish I could have been in attendance this year and looking forward to next year. Jon |

I had a great time at WVBR IV despite missing the group ride. A big thanks to Mark and the Gainers for putting on another fantastic event! Thanks to Chris for picking up some fresh spark plugs from S&P in Parkersburg and for giving me a hand trying to figure out the problem. Thanks to Travis for lending me some tools and to Scott (Mark's brother in law) for picking me up from the hotel and entertaining me with some great stories. Thanks to Matt for being motivated enough to tear into the fuel delivery system and figuring out I do indeed have flow all the way to the heads. Thanks to Gary for helping/supervising, providing comic relief and for taking that blast of fuel to the face. And finally, a Mega big thanks to Steve for giving me and my wounded Buell a ride home. I know it was a long haul for you and I do greatly appreciate it. Posted some photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/planethiker/sets/7215 7624793779238/ |

We're home (and back to work) Made it in around 6pm yesterday, had some hit and miss rain for the last couple hours but other than that we had a great trip. Thanks to Mark (and the whole Gainer family) and everyone else who made this WVBR the best yet. I have a bunch of pics but I have to get them on to photobucket. Can't wait until next year. Tim |

A big thanks to all that have contacted me with interest to help Mike gather up his stuff and get it to Morgantown. I think a plan is forming!!!! Update : They are going to get him up and walking around a little tomorrow. If all starts looking good they will release him this coming Monday. Also like to thank Fordrox(Chris Rogers). Are small group of three riders passed Chris on the way to the rally , Chris tagged on and rode in with us . We all camped together and rode together all weekend ,including when Mike went down. He even sat with us at the hospital. He also rode home with us ,I think just to keep an eye on us . Since are minds were on Mike more than riding! I'm sure we'll all ride together soon. Made it back to WNC about 6pm Sunday, clocking well over 1,000 miles on the Uly for the weekend. Had a good ride up and back with M2NC and Webe. Great ride on Sat. Who would think Ohio was actually FUN?!?! Thanks to Mark and the entire family for stepping up once again. Not sure how you can keep topping yourselves each year, but it sure makes it worth the long trip. It says something when I am willing to ride 1,000+ miles to this event when I already live in an awesome riding area. I think my gear is finally dry as of last night, so I am ready for next time! |

hey guys, just finished up a visit with Mike at the hospital. He's looking pretty good. He was sitting up and chatting with Leo and I. Says the broken ribs are the worst when he coughs. Anyhow, just wanted to pass that on. He and Sarah are hoping that he gets out of the hospital Friday. |

Mark - will do on the contact info. Leo has to work Labor Day weekend. Yall should truck your butts over to Canaan and experience some of my end of Route 50. I am willing to open up my home to anyone that wants sleep space while they are here. Beds, futon and couch on first come first serve basis. Plenty floor space and level yard for camping. Like I told Jon, just give me 15 minutes warning. WVBR 4.1 anyone? |

It's ALIVE ! Got the bike running for the first time since the Friday night BBQ at the Gainer's. Bad fuel from the Marathon station in Ellenboro was the cause . I have no idea why the 2 rice burners I was riding with got away scott-free from the 93 octane fill up, but the Buell just wouldn't burn the stuff. Once again, thanks to Chris, Matt, Gary, Mark and Rob for helping me narrow down the problem. And Thanks to Steve for getting me home. Some good did come out of it... I made some new friends, I got an education on the XB fuel injection system, I now know how to to pull engine codes with just a screw driver, I found out I have after market Siemens/Deka fuel injectors rather than Ford injectors AND it DOES matter which injector you use for the front cylinder and back cylinder. It was running rich and spitting fire out of the throttle body when I had them backwards. Guess I'm riding tomorrow |

Red one goes in the front. At least for the Siemens/Deka injectors. I'm not sure if the factory injectors are colored? Matt was working so fast switching the injectors and the connectors back and forth trying the diagnose it... it was life a shell game. We all got confused. I made a hand written note in my service manual. |
