Myron, have a safe trip, brother! Bummer about the Buell. At least it'll get fixed, and you're not broken. I will be back in town tomorrow. I'm in Ohio right now. Tomorrow is my last leg. I guess Hoss's on Wednesday will be my last one. Hope to see you guys there. I roll out 3 Aug... |

Rjhale, RJ? or Russel? Anyway, welcome to the fold. Hope to see you come out with us someday and ride. Speaking of rides, did you guys know that Redline is now gathering bikers together every second Sunday for a ride up to Poe's? I'm on their mailing list and they would be a good crowd to hook up with some Sunday for a change in scenery and riders. We have a few Duc riders so it would be interesting. |

Myron... See ya bro. It was a great ride. Keep in touch. "Another ones gone and another one's gone..." If you can hear the song in your head, then you know the tune. Thanks guys for serving this great Country of ours even though it makes you move all across it. Look at the bright side, where ever you go, you get a chance to meet other buellers. I guess as long as the bikes exist, we'll still have the link. |

Hey Matt... check in the weekend rides section. Most rides usually crop up about Thursday, just cause we don't do anything that far in advance! lol Peace out Phil. I'll catch up with you soon. |

somebody worse off than me. sorry to hear that. I am waiting on a rear tire to arrive. my dunlop has white threads sticking out after my return from the dragon. Thanks goody.......Bought it last year with only about 6,000 miles on it. Never thought I wopuld own a Buell until I rode it. Now whenever I ride my wives sporty or any other bike it just isnt the same. That Buell has earned the nickname "the beast" from all my friends. (Message edited by rlgiv on August 07, 2010) |

Well... parts have shipped.... still playing the waiting game. Word to the wise, don't attempt to "Cut" the bearing race out of the wheel with a dremel tool. It's way to hard a metal for that! (At this point, I'm beginning to believe that it would have been cheaper and quicker to buy a used rim off ebay) |

almost at the end of my shift today there was an 8 year old child who got killed <8 mi from my work and just down teh street from the carrolton volunteer fire dept. i didn't see it and i'm glad i didn't DOA i heard that some how his head ended up under a tire within 15 minutes there was a MVA <3 miles from work. single vehicle, 1 occupant. excessive speed is my hunch. myself and another station EMT arrived just as the surry ambulance was breaking out their truck. it looked like the driver put 2 tires in the dirt on the inside of an S-turn. at the given rate of speed, he broke traction and lost controll. skid marks off to the left of teh road and over a small ditch thru the grass/dirt and one skid mark dead set for a tree stump. this sent the WV tumbling. it rolled 3 times and landed wheels down, in the drive way of someone's double wide. < 10 feet from thier window. one of the wheels broke off at the steering knuckle. knuckle, hub, rotor, caliper and rim were in one piece seperate from teh car, sitting just behind where the car settled. 1/3 of the inner lip was fractured and the tire was not attatched. the roof hadn't smached in but a few inches, but the hatchback and roof line were askew. the car twisted from the tumble. the air bag deployed and busted his noze. it didn't protect his for head from a precussion wound so severe there was a gash the with of his hand. thankfully he was wearing his seat belt. tho; pressure to his hips and ribs stirred him with pain. a paramedic attended to him while the firemen used the jaws-of-life to pry off the driver side door. i busted the grill the rest of the way out and then we teamed up to tear off the hood and disconnect the battery. as if it couldn't get any worse, i knew the guy; Crhis, an electrician by trade. we just finished doing a periodic test < an hour earlier on a pump being returned from maintenance, and were talking about turbos and tuning for his TDI. him and another electrician left work at the same time. the other guy was behind him and saw the whole thing, and made the phone call. the ambulance drove him to meet up with nightingale at a make-do LZ. he was awake and responsive, but not alert. definetly banged and bruised up. i said all that to say: most summer schools are out and the regualr school year has yet to begin. and the public roads are no place to race anyone even if you are on the way home from work. |

Sorry to hear this and i know once he comes to and takes in the reality of what he has done and the life he has taken it will effect him harder then anybody else. Is he going to be charged with vehicular man slaughter or what? |

it's amazing how something so little can side line your hobby. moral of my story, every single part on this bike has a role. Don't discount anything as "unnecessary" lol oh yeah, and Ditto what Dave said. |

Hey you "Cloverleaf" riders.... We've got a brand new full cloverleaf over pass intersection opening up over here in Hampton pretty soon. It's about 2 miles north of Hampton Roads Center Parkway on Magruder Blvd. It's sole purpose is to service traffic to NASA Langley and is almost completely deserted after 6 PM during the week. On the weekends, there should be little to no traffic at all. Just saying, if you need a place to "get your lean on" this might be a spot without the risk of Interstate Traffic. |

it feels hotter than it really is out here. you know all about that. and it is looking pretty slim 'round here. it seems like almost all the HRH-ers went kickstands-up this summer and rode off into the susnset never to be seen again. the last 2 times iv'e been out and about, it has just been me and dwight. i miss the whole crew we had going on there. |
