Jim, didn't I ride with you, Carlos, and Webe to this blessed event a couple of years ago?  It seems so long ago. Last year I did a shorter loop than I will this year, so as I can be attacking from the North. My plan to get to Harrisville WV from Knoxville Tn is via Corning NY, then to Warren Pa, and South to Harrisville. Damn near a straight line on my map!  | ||

Vern...you are kick'n my a$$.... I haven't been able to put hardly any miles on the Uly... Changed the Voltage Regulator.. nope.. not the problem I just ordered a stator, rotor/9 primary drive & chain. Can you say WHEELIE TIME!!! | ||

Vern, yes. A couple of years ago it was Webe, Artic, you and me on four Ulys riding together to WV. We could do it again this year. | ||

Vern, Yes you remember correctly. Looking like I will try to meet up with Carlos and Webe again this year on Friday. I can extend the trip after the weekend, but not before. I am only canceling the hotel, not the trip! | ||

$20 bucks a night... but they usually give us a rate since we are in the overflow camping area. They have a real nice shower house that is only 4 years old... it has a big ADA shower... My choice if its open | ||

I got a really cool BadWeB phone call today! NittanyXT read my route plan and offered for me to stop for the night at his place on my way through. That is just awesome! Thanks Jon! My time on the road has me limited a bit to make my trip complete as planned. Therefore I would be short on family time that is scheduled or I would gladly be stopping for the night. Thanks Jon! Here is to hoping you and Derrik can make the WV Buell Rally  On a side note, I sold the fifth wheel camper that I likened to the 'Star Wars' Death Star. I owned that thing for about ten years. This past winter, with all of it's high winds, massive wetness, and lots of freezing, well.....that pretty much killed it. Little patch-able leaks became big uncontrollable sieves. Artificial wood that had seen dampness before, became wet and spongy. It had it's time, and it's time has passed. To all who have spent a night in it's wrecked semi comfort, you are welcome, and I'm glad you could. For you all coming down this way the welcome mat is still out, but for now you will be needing to unpack your tents. The pool, cook outs, and bonfires will still happen, it is just that for now.....the beer will be in coolers  . | ||

Actually, Tom B. hooked me up - new fan should ship this AM  If I had someone to ride with...I'd bring the S2. But that "voice" in my head says..."hmm...16 year old motorcycle, 4 hour ride, middle of nowhere, at night, riding solo...? Take the newer one, goofball". I'm sure the S2 would do just fine...but fact of the matter is, the Uly just has acres and acres of luggage space - probably twice what I can put on the S2. But I definitely thought about it. Hard. I do love that S2, and need to ride it more often... | ||

I'm coming on my S2T , I trust it!!!! Seems like every big ride I go on, an XB breaks down .But it's a crap shoot,you never know who could be next!!! The last time my XB went to the Dragon ,500 miles from home the Starter quit!!! Will save that story for the campfire!!! |
