YIKES
Lakeland wanted $226 for a rear Angel and $205 (2.5 hrs) labor to install the tire, rear brakes, bearings and a new belt. Heck, they used to charge $1 to mount a tire and install pads. Now this and in the current economy??
I felt gouged so I instead got the tire from Cyclegear ($144) and then ordered a 2010 wheel with bearings installed, brake pads and a belt from Al at American Sport Bike. With the labor and tire cost savings the wheel is a swinging deal.
With Sam's help it'll be a snap! HAHA |

Nice Frank! You can sell your old wheel and recoup the cash or keep it as a spare and install new bearings.

Key West Bikefest Sept 16-19th. Frank and I are bring the wives, leaving on Thursday, spending the night in Homestead then spending 2 nights in Key West. We head home Sunday.
Dave and John might be leaving Friday morning and meeting up with us.

Regulator is shot on my bike. Looked online all last week and couldn't find one! Decided to call American Sport Bike to see if they had any & I got lucky. 2 regulators had just come in and he was posting them on the web as we spoke. Order one. Should be here Tuesday. |

anyone interested in going on an American Legion ride on September 11th? Got two Buells showing (my S1 and my buddies 1125R), would be nice to have a few more. The details are:
American Legion Riders
Chapter 183 Fern Park
9-11-2010 Legacy Fund Run
"Lets Roll for the Troops"
Last bike out @ 10:00 am
Breakfast available from 8:30-10:00
Stops include Casselberry Veterans,
American Legion Post 242 Orlando,
American Legion Post 80 St Cloud (lunch included),
American Legion Post 286 Orlando
and back to American Legion Post 183 Fern Park
$10 a rider, $5 passenger
I'm not affiliated with the Legion. Know a few members, and some riders from work are participating. Thought it would be a nice day for a ride and maybe I could meet some other Buellers if anyone is interested. It will be my first group ride, should be fun. I'm out. My daughter's car has a tire with a slow leak (I presume and hope) and I have to go pick it up and get it repaired so she'll have it to drive tomorrow. |
