Dang man isn't that the second ding for that bike? Glad you both made it out ok. I guess I won't be riding around MB area during tourist season. Hopefully their insurance will take care of your damages. |

Spoke to my buddy at Beach House Harley, and he said as long as you have the adjustable racing ECM, they can do it for around $300 - 400 max, but it would all depend on the time spent in the Dyno, so may be less. He also said that a guy brought him a 1125R with the original ECM and they couldn't really do any adjusting, only give him a run and read out... He said for the Carb bikes, it would be considerably less (half the price or more), again it depends on the time in the Dyno. He said he would be happy to answer any questions y'all may have, so give him a call at 910-575-9997, ask for Chris Brown. Hope this helps. |

Hugh, What about KWS over at the Industrial Park? From what I hear, Kevin does almost exclusively FI bikes. |

Charlie- I forgot about them; they might be worth calling: http://www.kwsmotorsports.com/dynotuning.htm I don't know anyone who's been there but I remember a friend of mine who had a Honda RC-51 found out about them and at one point was going to take his bike there. |

I don't know much about the place either, been there a couple of times.Saw a couple of Buells there once, but didn't know the people. Picked up a hand full of jets for one of my race bikes, seemed like nice guys. I think Mike from LCHD goes there occasionally. He could give you more info. |

I hope everyone is having a good summer. I need to get away for a day and go riding so I'm proposing riding Caesar's head again, last time that made for an excellent day long ride. I figure meet somewhere around west Columbia, last time it was the Lowe's on US 1 by I-26. I figure this is as a good as place as any. Unless anyone else has a better place. I want to do this Sunday July 25th, according to weather reports it'll be a nice day, 20% chance of rain, 95F partly sunny. I need a reason to get out of the house and refresh my mind and something to convince me to go to Buelltoberfest. 9am kickstands up. If anyone in the Greenville area wants to join in let us know where to meet up at. |

whoops, i just checked the date I put in, I meant next weekend, Aug 1st. I can't do it the 25th either, sorry guys but I will be ready August 1st, sunday lowe's us 1 and 26, 9 am. Tomorrow I got plans, I should really take a good look at my dates before I type it in. I feel like such a dork now. Also anybody know the torque for the bolt for the gear shift lever in the crack case. mine keeps coming loose i'm using loctite but i'm afraid to torque it too much for fear of striping the threads. Out-of-town. It's gotta be cooler then. Offer open to use my place as haul-vehicle drop-off. Let me know what to expect (advise my "watchful" neighbor. ) |

August 1st might work for me. Let me know if we're on. I might just be inspired to ride up on Saturday and split it into 2 days. I did the Summerville/Caesar's Head/Brevard loop on my S3 a few years back, and that made for a 500+ mile day. I was a whipped dog after riding that tuber for 500+ miles. |

All, here is my proposed route(for me at least):
and the zoomed in part involving caesars head, head up 26 to 385 to 276 up to Brevard, get something to eat on 64, I propose subway, or that bar again I forget the name of it, then head down 178 to 123 over to 25 and take 25 home, or to greenwood at which point I imagine most of us will split off.
The weather is holding steady at low 90's for most of the trip( up in brevard high 80's) 20-30% chance of rain on most of the route (in the morning only) |

still sunday at 9 am, meeting at lowes on US 1 by I-26. Demarsico(Chris) most of us know basic repair if there is an issue, I'll be sure to bring my tire patch kit just in case as well. I've had to use it once, I know it works, one time at march badness I even had fouled my sparkplugs and replaced them, Hugh remembers that one. Oh for you it'll probably be a 8-9 hour ride, those coming from charleston is probably 12-13 hours but its worth it. (Message edited by dr.fudd on July 28, 2010) |

Looks like a great route to me, Nick. According to Google Maps, that'll be another 525 mile, 10 hour ride for me, not counting stops. I suspect it'll be a little easier on the Uly than it was on the S3. Yep, I remember the spark plug incident. That was just a nasty morning in general. |

I just sent out a notice about the ride to the SC Buell Rider's e-mail list compiled and maintained by Buellistic. Hopefully that'll pull in a few more riders. |

I just saw the e-mail from Hugh... wish I'd been on here in the last couple weeks to hear about this in advance. I can't make it Sunday but hope y'all have a great time. -Patrick Edit: Looks like your route is going over the closed section of I-385.... don't forget to account for that. Xelerator... The last time we rode this route, we met at the Police department right there where 385 goes in to Greenville. I would venture to say anywhere that you know that is a good landmark along the projected route would be good. Just name a place and I am sure everyone would make it a meeting point there. I don't think I am going to make this ride because of the LATE night that I am going to have Saturday with the wedding celebration of my sister-in-law. Maybe there will be one sometime in September when it starts to cool to prepare for Buelltoberfest!!! Rcontroler will not be riding either. Everyone have a good time and be safe and take some pics to share here with the ones that cannot make it this time. (Like me) |
