Madgaz, talked to your fiance Susan today. She seems to be booking your time here and called to check dates. Sounds like you'll miss our planned rides, meetings, but we'd be glad to hook up with you for a special ride. Just let us know as you get set up. |

Sunset Thunder Club rides this Sunday, May 16th, meet at Destination at 10:00 AM. Heading (eventually to Corvallis for the Swapmeet/antique bike show) south. Come ride. Looks like mid-60's, maybe a shower or two. No big thing. |

Shotgun, I really want to be there! I will have to decide when I get up.On Thrus my bad knee decided to start giving me some problems so it just depends on how that is doing. Chris is racing out at pats acres tomorrow, any chance our ride could dump me close to there around 12 or 1? If not that is OK too. Really looking forward to the meeting on Tues. Loni |

Hey now, I got my info on the show from the HOG calendar at Destinaion. I checked out their online calendar and found the following: *Sunday, May 23, 2004 * *Oregon Vintage Bike Show *It's time to take a Sunday ride down to *Corvallis for the 25th Annual Motorcycle Ride, *Show and Swap meet. This year’s event will be *held on Sunday May 23rd not May 16th as *previously advertised. * Oh I just hate it when that happens! I say we have some fun in the morning then go see Chris ride the wheels off his blue racer. Come on 43 kick some booty! Hey Shotgun, I have a pain in my butt, but I'm leaving her at home. So lets plan on some fun tomorrow. Hope to see everyone there. |

Brandon stopped by the hovel the other day. Seems his Buell needs new clutch plates, and he needs my clutch tool. Glad someone finaly gets to use it! Not one of my better investments. Now that I think about it, I'm afraid it's one of my best investments. It's not broke, it's value has held steady since its purchase, it has a use, and I still have it! Damn, I think I'll get another one! oh bother, Galen

We need to make room in the stable for another race bike for Cody so....... Mike will be selling his Yamaha 2002 TT-R125L. It has had very light use and used as a pit bike only and completed only one battle trax in CA - low hours. It is a 1-cylinder 4-stroke 124cc with BBR air filter, chain guide and power roll thrust chamber. We are asking $1600 and all the funds will go toward a new 6 speed 50cc GP race bike for Cody. If you know anything about Mike this bike is clean and well worth the asking price. Retail is $1895 per Kelly Blue Book. The new 2004 are $2499 for kick start and $2699 for electric. Let me know if anyone is interested, we would love to see it go to someone who we know would use it and enjoy it. Kimberlie edited by kimberlie on May 17, 2004 |

Sunset Thunder Club Brag meeting Tuesday nite. The Buell Tee-shirt Quilt is done. I'll bring it along. Looking for a volunteer to handle the ticket sales. We want to sell out before SPLASH. Looks like Code Red will need the $$ for a new bike. Go Cody! |

We are looking into getting funds together to purchase an OZ Bike for Cody. You can go to www.ozbike.com to check it out. It is a 50cc, Derby motor with a Metrakit top end. It is a purpose built YSR style motorcycle. I called back to Florida on Friday where they distribute the bikes (they are actually made in Spain) and got all the details and we are seeing what we can do to get it for the little guy. Mike went out to Canby on Sunday after our Saturday McMinnville practice and spoke with Julio and Ralph about the bike and if there was a series that Cody could race under. Well there is not yet a series and when I spoke to Ozzie in FL he indicated that they were trying to get one together out here and Julio confirmed that as well. It is the next step we need to consider to get Cody ready for road racing. We are also looking at doing American Super Camp at the end of summer, they are having a class in Vancouver WA. The Ozbike dealio is a pretty cool thing at the end of the year they have a National race, all are invited regardless if you have a club affiliation (must be on that bike though) in November - and the top five place finishers win a bid to go to Spain to race. Not saying we are there right now, but we are looking at the long term and getting our ducks in line. Cody is really stoked about the bike it is 2 inches taller than his KLX110 and weighs 20 lbs less. He got to sit on a YSR at the track on Sunday and is all excited. We will post more as we know. So any takers on the TTR? Kimberlie |

Anybody in our little corner of the BadWeB use a radar detector? I'm wondering if the police in WA/OR/ID/BC use laser guns? I'm doing my research, preparing to buy a radar detector and one of the things I don't know is the relative importance of laser detection and/or jamming. BTW: Detectors are OK in BC, as well as AB, NB, and SK. Only illegal in MOST of Canada. |

My long vacation may end soon ... Well I got a call from the company I interviewed with a few weeks ago. They also called last week and asked for references, so I made it to the next round of evaluation. The call yesterday was to say we checked out your references and they were fine, thanks shotgun for your kind words, and they also had two more questions. First, is there any reason you could not do this job ... nothing I am aware of. Second, do you have a criminal record ... no. And that was it. I suspect they are getting their ducks in a row to make me an offer, yahoo! They are a subsidiary of a larger company and probably need to get final approval from the mother ship prior to making any offer. I should hear something later this week. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and support, you can probably uncross your cajones now. |
