It might have been that squirrel. A rabbit is worth 25 pts ,squirrels are 100 as they are much faster. |

Looks like Paul and Lars are planning another ride this Monday, July 5th. Meeting place would be again in Bowie at the Sunoco station on the corner of Rt. 301 and Ballpark Rd. (Bowie Baysox stadium). Meet time is 0930, depart at 1000. ALWAYS a great riding day! See Archives for July 1 for pics from last couple of weeks. |

DEFINITELY take the Monday ride...it's worth it! I've always wondered what happens when a bike meets a small mammal. I know what happens when it hits a large mammal (5-point buck), and hope to never know about the gargantuan mammal. Glad everyone is okay. I'm headed to Rhode Island tomorrow on four wheels for the week...that's why I commuted the last two days. Riding in traffic in pleasant weather every few days really brings me back to reality. I love my car, and I love having radio/CD/Ipod/traffic/beverage/food/phone at my fingertips for those 50 minutes, but rolling in on the Buell makes me feel like a stud. I park it next to a skull-covered Road King or a stripped-down Low Rider (or a nice gun-metal grey Kawasaki sport bike), and I just laugh...aside from it's height and width, the Uly's luggage, EZ-Pass holder, inherent grime, and practical farkles (bar ends, RADAR detector mount, axle sliders, hand guards, extra lights, etc.) make it stand out. Still, there is no more unique bike regularly on the American road than the Buell. |

Amen Hooper! i take mine to the beach all the time and whenever i come back there is always someone who runs up just to talk to me about it. i wish i was tall enough for a Uly though all that dirt is probably a great conversation starter! |

Anyone in our area with 1125's having Voltage System errors? Who has had the harness upgrade done? Has anyone had their stator fail/replaced? Who did your service? |

Got the new harness and ECM reflash and had the stator checked out - no prob. Kept an eye on the battery both ways and noticed no change in voltage/charging. Got off work, started no prob, then about a half mile later (if that, more like 1/4mi), Fans came on, Volt Sys error, Comm error and low fuel error - I was low on fuel. The comm and Low fuel errors showed up in diag mode before I went to the dealer, but I had never seen them displayed before. I turned it off then back on while coasting and everything was fine. The whole day voltage never dropped below 13.4 Got gas, took a while for the low fuel light to turn off. Got home, turned off, 3 minutes later I started it up again to park it and the engine light came on and stayed on until I turned it off. Not sure what all this means yet or what to do about it. Note: I did notice while trying to turn off/on while coasting (<25mph)that when I pulled in the clutch, the Volt sys error would clear and everything seemed fine until clutch release, the the Volt, Comm and Fuel errors would show. Only reason I noticed was because I couldn't get it into neutral, I finally gave up held the clutch in and restarted. |

Lars I sent you a PM on riding I'm working with Vera, the lady who teaches and rides the 1125Rs, on a date for both of us to ride with you all. Right now Sept 4th is a good weekend for both of us. She also owns a Road King and a sporty and is actually looking to buy another 1125R! Both of her Buells are in Ohio I posted Vera in the ladies on MC's thread on the backfire board |
