New street rider. Just got a 2005 Buell 500 Blast. ONLY 451 miles, in mint condition! I live in northern chicago, Evanston area. Adam, I live in Deerfield, several towns North of you. My first bike was a yellow Blast, which I still own. I usually try to ride away from the city because 1) you can actually get out of 2nd gear 2) it's less crowded and therefore safer 3) some roads actually have turns in them. PM me if you'd like to ride sometime. BTW, given a choice of living anywhere in the Midwest, I'd choose Evanston. | ||

Gunut75, On weekends, I'm usually between Deerfield, IL and Milwaukee. Suggestion: You, me, Carmelo123, Drkside79 and whoever else should meet up with JoCarr83 around Rockford. State route 2 is really, really nice. JoCarr83 may know some other fun roads around the river. | ||

Spotted southbound on Sanders Rd. at Dundee Rd. in Northbrook: A black XB9s or XB12s Thursday, June 3 about 6:30 PM. Buells are so rare in this area that I thought this noteworthy. | ||

This weekend is Kegel's (local Harley dealer in Rockford) is having their annual Biker Bash this Saturday. Just curious if any one out there would like to go to the Bash and then maybe get a group together and go for a ride? I know this isnt really a Buell event but i have gone to them the last 2 years and they have been a pretty good time. Like i said we dont need to stay at the Bash, when we get a group together we could all head out on a nice Saturday ride. | ||

im not in peoria but im over there a lot in the washington area. Im on a black 1125r I have seen a few buells around, an xbr and a yellow x1 most recently. I would like to get some info on some good rides over there. Seems like theres more twisty roads over that direction. Pretty good on/offramps. | ||

OK. Let's get some preliminary plans together. 1) Who might come? That will probably influence 2) below. I'm pretty sure of me, Drkside and Shoob. Stalker is interested. 2) Where are we going? Do we really care or is a random path more appealing? 3) Nothing is set in stone. Plans can always be changed - but let's have something to change. I'll start: Meet at gas station at US 41 and IL22. Kickstands up at 8:00. Head for Starved Rock. Have at it ! | ||

Milt, idk if Drkside is going or not. He said he may have something going on that day. I was kind of waiting to see who else (if anybody) wanted to go to set a meeting place. If its just the 4 of us, you and Stalker can meet Carmelo and I in Hoffman Estates where we met before HC. That way we don't have to head East to head West. Starved Rock is good...or Galena. | ||
