Stop riding. Check Went to pull away from a light and got nothing. Kicked the shifter to make sure it was in gear...nothing. Looked behind me and the car following me had bumped me. As I was looking around noticed my belt on the pavement. Pushed it off to the side. And saw the truck behind him bumped him and the car behind hit him. Other than the guy that hit me doing some fist shaken everyone was pretty cool. Called the rescue vehicle and once again my bike is on a trailer. Need a belt, master cylinder and seals...joy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izzlN2zC8PU |

Damn, Travis. You just can't win with that bike. Anyone going to see the movie? I missed it the first time around. |

Anyone going to see the movie? I'd like to go. Travis, at least the guy only bumped you. Sorry to hear about the bike. Does that mean you'll soon be visiting? |

> I'd like to go. Any preference on time? There's a midnight show Friday and Saturday 6/25 and 6/26, and there's a 5:00 PM show Saturday the 26th. I'm fine with whatever. |

"The KTM above is a 125" How about having a few of those for parking lot racing? That would a blast. |

Does anyone have an air pump that will hit 300psi? I need to adjust the rear shock and it takes up to 300psi. |

Not I. I keep meaning to get back into mountain biking, but it sure is a lot of effort. |

"Does anyone have an air pump that will hit 300psi? I need to adjust the rear shock and it takes up to 300psi." I have access to 300 psi at work. Give me a call and we'll work out a time to pump it up. |

Not mine, my brothers brother in laws. The bike is a 97 model, needs a few new parts to really make it nice again. But before I make the decision to try and get my hands on a nicer bike I want to get this one dialed in and see how the full suspension feels. Even out of adjustment I already feel the advantage of the rear shock. Shred got a great view of me looking like Eslick. Since the shock is too soft it wants to power slide through every turn. |

My brother-in-law is staying with us for the Summer. He is wants a bike. It is distracting me. If I was willing to do something financially stupid right now I think it would be this:

Hey ya strangers! Sunday, Kdan, Scooter and myself went on my first REAL ride since my crash. Rode to work last Monday. Now if the weather will just cool down a bit... Is there going to be a Buell-toberfest this year? If so, has anyone picked the dates yet? I wanna get our reservations in. |

How much you want for it? What you doing in town? How long will you be here? |

> How much you want for it? 3%er price? $3000. I'm asking $3500 for it on Craigslist and $3200 on the other motorcycle boards. It isn't perfect. It has a scuff on one mirror and a crack on one turn signal. The body work, controls, etc are perfect. The sale includes another mirror and a set of flush mount blinkers, though. The top case is included too. > What you doing in town? How long will you be here? Mom, dad, and I are visiting family in Katy for father's day. Plus, I'll get to see my grandparents in LA on the way. I won't be there long, unfortunately. I'm arriving Saturday and leaving late Sunday or early Monday. |

Travis, Your brother in law could not go wrong with that bike. Even if he does not like it he could recoup his cash easy at that price. |

Hi everyone. I'm pretty new here, trying to figure where things are on this board and how it works.... It’s certainly different from VBulletin (BSB type board). Everything's archived and, for this outsider, I can never find anything other than the classified section. Hopefully I can figure it out. I was actually starting to worry, since the most recent posts I could find were from 2008, it looked like the group split a few years ago. I feel much better seeing that everyone's around and still meeting up. I look forward to coming out and meeting those I don't already know. (Charlie, Mike Buffington, Fran, and Sanchez are pretty much it so far) I've been drooling over Buell's since I started riding in '04, but I never pulled the trigger (a $2,300 SV650 is easier to justify than a $5-6K XB). After the announcement in October, I decided it was now or never. So, I got me a bone-stock '06 9R in February, and have put 2800 miles on it since. I am absolutely IN LOVE with this motorcycle. It takes some getting-used-to coming from Japanese bikes, but once you get a feel for it… It’s just…. I know I’m going to have this bike for a very long time. I tried a Spec Ops pipe on for size, and it didn't agree with the neighbors... or my own hearing, so I’ve swapped a fellow BadWebber for his factory race pipe. I’ve added frame pucks, a smoked screen, the updated clutch cable bracket, and the American Sport Bike seat release kit to the bike already. I just got HID’s, Lyndall front pads, Dash LEDs, and the new “77” connector in from American Sport Bike, and that stuff will be on the bike soon, along with the race pipe and an open airbox/K&N setup. I took the belt guards and rear reflectors off, and the safety stickers and front reflectors are next. I’m nervous about pulling sticky stuff off painted surfaces though… Doing it on the SV was one thing, but I’m not ready to risk marring the finish on my Buell just yet. Charlie says the switch to synthetic goes a long way toward reducing heat, so I’m curious to see how much difference it makes. If it still cooks me, I might add the 2010 Uly right-side scoop and/or Thermotec heat barrier to reduce heat, as well as buy time on the original fan. I’m so ecstatic that I FINALLY have a Buell… It’s been a LONG time coming. In fact, it’s probably time to post up a chair in the garage again and just look at her. The power delivery, the handling, the ride quality, comfort, the shaking at idle, the quirks, knowing it’s American Made… I just Love this bike. It’s everything I thought it would be, and I couldn’t be much happier with it. Anyway, I’ve been stalking here on BadWeb for a few years now… bout time I made an introduction. Lookin forward to meeting everyone in-person. (Message edited by twintalon on June 17, 2010) |
