Figured I might as well get this started! I will be starting work at HD/Buell of Appleton WI on April 15th. I am looking forward to kicking the Buell biz into high gear there. I will also be selling HDs, Buell parts and all the other stuff I currently sell. We will be starting a BRAG chapter in May. Looking for members! If you are from the Appleton,Oshkosh,Green Bay area please contact me. Our first event will be the open house on May 15th. I am working on getting some Buell race bikes for display that day as well as a parking lot full of Buells! More details to come soon! Lake, our meetings will not be on Sunday! I will be looking for Buell riders willing to be officers in the new club. I really hope we can do some rides and events with the other clubs within riding distance. More good things to come soon! Ride to the edge! Dave Appleton HD/Buell 920-757-1651 (after the 15th of April)

Dave....I'm not sure I can make the commitment to being an officer right now. It's not bad from February-June. Things start getting crazy in mid-July with training camp and then the regular season. I'll try my best to be there May 15th. What time is the open house? |

The open house is usually a 10-6:00 kinda event. Last year included a Dyno shoot out, Contraband (a sportster stunt riding team) DJ, free food, soda, and beer, and some vendors (like me!). Dave, you can count on my Buell being there. Since I have competed in battle trax do I qualify as a race bike? ha ha ha... I believe last years Sportster/Buell Dyno winner was only 87 hp. Maybe I will rent a XB12 that day and take home the trophy... Close to the dealership is a minor league ballpark for the Appleton Timber Rattlers. The parking lot would be a GREAT battletrax site and the driveway leading to it winds around like a snake. Could be a fun slalom course! Of course if we knew someone in Green Bay we could have a Battle trax at Lambeau Field |

Koz...trust me, I've been trying to find a reason for a battletrax here. The southwest parking lot is newly paved (not to mention HUGE). Now if I could just find a battlemaster..... |

You know how the Packers ride kids bicycles from the training center to the locker room. Maybe I could bring my M2 and get some good autographs? |

While I don't normally solicit for non-Buell/BRAG rides, this is something special I'm working on with a great group of people. Jerry Parin's Cruise for Cancer Saturday, June 12th Ride from Lambeau Field to Peshtigo and back to Lambeau. Here's the deal....Jerry is the Director of Security for the Green Bay Packers. He is also a retired GB motorcycle officer and avid Harley enthusiast. Last year Jerry was diagnosed with brain cancer. He vowed at that time that if he survived, he would do something special to help other cancer patients and their families. Everyone is glad to say that Jerry is doing well. This year will be the first annual Cruise for Cancer. While the Green Bay Packers are not an official sponsor, we are all working together to make this a special event. As a Buell rider, I'd like to see a good turnout from my fellow enthusiasts in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan. I'll be posting more info and updates as they become available. Thank you!!!! If you are going to have a flyer or poster for the ride let me know and I'll put one up in the shop. I doubt I will be able to make it as I work on Sat. But I'll make sure everyone in Appleton knows about it for you. Ride to the edge! Dave |

I now have a place to live during the week. I will be in Kaukauna(I have to learn how to say it) Got an apartment right on the Fox river. It's only 15 minutes from the dealership. I stopped in the dealership and told Terry about the Buelly plans for the open house. He is going to get a list of all Buell buyers and Buell service customers for me so I can send out letters about the new BRAG club. I gave Ray, the parts mgr a short list of replacement parts we should have on hand. Got some Buell shirts and helmets ordered too! Looking forward to getting up there and getting to work! I start next Thursday. Not sure what my actual schedule will be yet. I'm going to try to keep it flexible for now, I'd like to have a few Mondays off so I can spend more time in Waterloo with my wife. I will have to check if they have the wires and sensor for you. they were not on my list, but of course I'd be happy to get them for you. See you soon! Dave |

Well, I already lost one speedo (that Appleton replaced under warranty). I don't want to have to pay for one when it happens again |

Dave.....I tried calling you at work to welcome you to Wisconsin. They could seem to figure out who you were. I said something like "the new guy with the ponytail". I got a "oh, okay". Then put on hold for 5+ minutes. Anyway....welcome!!! I might try to shoot down tomorrow after work. What time do you work 'til? Dennis |

Dave...Welcome to Wisconsin. You are going to really like the place. Now do what you can to expedite getting your bride here. Is more fun to explore new locations together. |
