JT, I didn't think anybody was saying anything (not that there was anything to say anyway), but I just decided that since you had started a conversation on the topic, I'd take the chance to post something to everyone. As a side note, I think Heather's right, I think I'm developing a cold. It's one of those that seems to sneak up on you, though. I'm guessing it will peak around July 28th. |

Hey Guys, I hope everyone had a great wekend. If anyone talks to Eva, let her know we got 5 Harley people who want to do the track day. I was sick as a dog all weekend...still not 100% yet, but it feels good to be among the upright. At least there was lots of good racing on the tube this weekend! Impulse, you were definately getting around fine! I agree with you 110% about riding at your own comfort level. Personally, I think street riding is more dangerous than track riding just for all those reasons you mentioned. I've had more close near death experiences on I94 than at the track! and that was doing the speed limit! I was probably messing around a little more than i should have been the other night, as its been a long time since I've ridden that hooligan bike! Plus i was in my own neighborhood and had a decent idea of which direction the road was going... I had to pull back a little myself as Griz was making a lot of noise back there and it would have been pretty easy to pull the trigger! Cold tire, cold pavement, darkness....maybe you do get wiser when you get older! Wow, that would make CJ...aaaaa, forget it! WFO |

Damn, You're a brave man Wes. Not for the street or track riding, but for messing with the "women Folk." As for the track day... I'm going to have to ask off, but I'm going to try and make the track day. I figure that it will be a good chance to break 100MPH on the Buell. I'm assuming that you can rent leathers at the track. I'm going to assume that my Fieldsheer mesh isn't going to cut it. It will be an expensive day but what the hell, you only live once. JT

Aawwww CJ, you know I'm just kidding! I only say stuff like that when theres distance between us or I'm wearing protective gear.... speaking of, Impulse, you might be able to get away with the armored jacket thing if your in the novice or street group, although a leathers investment is always a good one! |

(re-post from brew city thread... give dyna a swift kick in the when you see him) It is called Slimey Crud for a reason dudes !!! What a bunch of whining pussies... A little snow deterred you all from a great day of riding... they rode 5 hours from Iowa and no one could ride 2 from Milwaukee??? What a sorry bunch of posers... Yes, the flakes were two inches in diameter at 10 am in Madison and it is kindof hard to see when they turn to ice on your face shield, coupled with fog... But I would guess somewhere around 100 bikes did show up... so it was fun... ha ha ha ha ha... you missed it!!! Charlotte

Not bothered about missing the crud run at all. Have a lot better things to do, instead of riding in cold, snowy miserable weather. Fairweather rider? Nope...smart rider is more like it. There is a reason they make cars & trucks & its for days just like that. I paid the price in Oct 2002 for riding to the crud run on a miserable day. Absolutely refuse to do that crap again. |
