Hey Hughlysses share your thoughts. I am a motor nut so I am pulled by the 1125 motor but everytime I swing the legs over my XB9SX I love the ride..just wish it has the 1125 motor. They both are under the Buell family name but different (in every sense) world. I can only imagine what the 1190 feels like? Share your thoughts. the 1125 VS Uly
Jadow- I致e had my Uly for ~3.5 years now while I致e only had the 1125CR since October 2009. I知 sure I知 somewhat biased towards the Uly since I like it so much. The CR actually fits me better (I知 not a tall guy) but I知 still a little more comfortable on the Uly. One thing that was noticeably different (not better or worse) was engine braking. I can't honestly say which one has more engine braking, just that they're very different, which requires you to brake and/or downshift different for turns. I値l give what I see as positives for each as far as riding in the twisties:
Uly
-Long travel suspension rides better and soaks up rough pavement and mid-turn bumps that upset the CR.
-Wide handlebar gives you more leverage to muscle the bike around in hard turns
-Smoother power transmission at low speeds; less vibrations at high speeds
-Less driveline lash when getting off/on throttle
-Adequate power for anything I want to do on the street. More than sufficient for tight/twisty work.
-Better gas mileage!
1125CR
-Shorter, stiffer suspension gives more precise handling (at least on smooth pavement) with less dive under hard braking
-Lower height allows side-to-side transitions to be made easier/quicker. Noticeable on a tight, twisty road like Wolfpen Gap.
-ZTL-2 front brake is noticeably more powerful than ZTL on Uly (plus Uly is pulsing after 3.5 years of use- time for a rotor upgrade)
-More useable power at highway speeds (70 and up)
-Engine pulls hard WAY past where I am comfortable letting it go. |

Its no longer up for sale, i feel like it would be a huge mistake to sell it. As much as i like the xb series, i know id regret it. |

If you take the forks off, remove the fork cap, and let them drip drain over night , the max. that drains out one is what you top off both ...
This replaces the additives in the fork oil for a oil change ... |
