Jeff, I hear ya, but I dropped enough coin on the SBK weekend, the 1 June trackday, and a new jacket. Nothing saying we can't ride down there for lunch (concessions closes at 3pm)and check it out...MMP's got great cheeseburgers! Anyone know a good back way to get there? |

The only back way I know, at least from where I live, is to go around the back side of that big salty lake....and that's definitely the long way around the barn. I'm not ready to run the 1125 this weekend. Those roscoes over at Erik Buell Racing still have my ECM, and I need it back! Could take the XB, tho... Hey! if you type 'E.B.R.', (without the periods) the spelled-out link magically appears. |

Kerri - confirmed June 1 this morning. Did you buy your SBK tickets on-line? I just hate giving smith's tix an extra $25 'convenience fee'. I may have to make a run to Tooele to buy on-site - it will probably end up costing more, but it's a 'principle of the thing' thing. |

Call or email this guy: Derrek Degraaff (ddegraaff@millermotorsportspark.com),435-277-8622. Tell him you know me (Kerri Brooks) and he's supposed to give you a good deal. You'll be the first to try it, so we'll see... I bought my tickets through him last year and he hooked me up pretty well this year. Also, if you guys swing by Trackstar, and ask nicely, they will give you tickets to the WERA/MOM races the weekend prior to the SBK weekend...Erik and crew will be there testing. WOOOOooooooo! Just talked to my contact deep within the EB organization - henceforth known only as 'deep throttle'. I offered up that there may be a few folks here who would be willing to help the EB guys out over the superbike weekend. It sounds like they are bringing a fairly robust crew, but may need runners, gofers, etc. I know the Trackstar guys have stepped up. EB will be here, the 1190 will be here, they will be running it. Kerri - I emailed your guy. We'll see what he can do. Thanks for the heads-up. |

Haven't purchased my tickets yet either, waiting anxiously to hear suggestions. Kerri, if we want to hang out at your RV you do we buy some GA type tickets? Need to sign up for the track day too, I've taken extra time off from work for it. Also invited my friend Dan with the Triumph, waiting to see what he'll do. |

Yup, the GA tix will get you everywhere except into the grandstands. Give Derrek a shout and see what he can do for ya! Y'all are more than welcome to hang out at the RV...it's not huge, but it's front row! "Deep throttle"---HA! Heck yeah...I'll help out too...that'd be awesome! |

Hey, so I'm looking at tickets on the SBK website right now, who's going to attend which days? Monday for sure for the Buell racing, right? Dan is gonna be going all three days, sounds like he's got grandstand tickets, if I get those will I still be able to come chill in GA with you guys too? Cycle World has a two page ad with a $20 discount on weekend packages, sbkusa.com/cycleworld use the promo code "cycleworld" for the discount. Maybe I should just call the # listed here (435) 227 7223 and ask for Derrek. |

In keeping with honoring Mothers Day my beautiful bride of many years has asked me to ride on Sunday and not Saturday due to the fact SHE knows how much better a day it is for traffic. Now how great is that! I will try and be back kind of early though so we can spend some time together. Hoorah! Anybody else feel like riding Sunday? Also, is it in fact true about what Jeff said, that there is a service charge of $25.00 with Smith-tix? Looks like we will have a good turn out at Kerri's RV. We can't wait. It'll be great! |

Don't know about the charge, but for comparison SBK lists a three day GA pass with pit pass at $125.00; grandstand pass includes the same plus some sort of parking option for $145.00. |

Awesome! I'll have a grill, so I'll have some burgers/brats and some beverages. If you want anything else specific, bring it along! I also have a couple folding chairs, but I don't know if I'll have enough for everyone, so if you are able, please bring one. I'm going to have a canopy out the back (trackside) as well so we don't get as crispy as the brats! Ha! It's not a big RV, just a little toy hauler, but the more the merrier! |

Bob, what time were you thinking of heading out tomorrow? |

Kerri, probably around noon. The weather channel online, hourly shows it getting more cloudy after 2:00. I also usually start out from the Sinclair but I'm always open to other suggestions, both time and place. Bob |

Hmm...you said a short ride, right? Any idea where you'd like to go? I've got my dog at the groomers at 1100 tomorrow so my schedule is driven by that...maybe something like what we did last time? |

Kerri, just got back from a family get together. Yes, and even a little shorter is just a ride around Pineview, up Snow Basin road and back to the station. About 60 miles all together. I always like to check out Pineview water level for the fishing prospects. The East canyon ride is fine if you would like to do that. Let me know what time to meet up. I'm very casual. Gotta keep our puppies happy. Bob |

How about a trip around Pineview and up Monte Cristo? We can just pick a place part way up or even to the gate and turn around and come back the rest of the way around the lake to the station. OR....we could meet at the Smith's at the mouth of Ogden Canyon, and go clockwise around to Monte, turn around and come back around and to back to the Sinclair. It's about 60+/- miles. Google says it's about 1 1/2 hrs, but in Buell-time...uh...yeah. If we want more after that we can go do another lap of Pineview. To check water levels of course. 1200 is still a good time. |

Kerri, we should be able to make it hopefully to the big overlook just below Monte Christo campground. I doubt we could go further. Meet at the Sinclair station in Mountain Green at noon if thats OK. I just love Trappers divide. See you then. Bob |

Rock on...I'll see you then, Bob. I might be a couple minutes late...I have to drop the pooch off at Petco in Harrisville, run home then get the bike and head over to the Sinclair, so don't leave without me!

You have a lot to do with that Bob. It looks like it is going great. It is very pleasing to see and I hope I can get out to Utah to enjoy a ride with you all sometime. Frank PS, if you all are so inclined to come up with a logo, Blake can help you get it added to your thread with a shortcut at the top of the Stormfronts. |

Thanks Frank, we'll look into the logo. That would be really great. And we'll all look forward to riding with you if you indeed get to Utah. I'll bet its hard to leave Colorado though with all of your own great roads. Saw a History channel on worlds greatest highways and Rt.550 from Montrose to Durango looks incredible. Thanks much for dropping in to our Utah forum occasionally. Your inputs and knowledge are always welcome. Take care, Bob |

550 is not all that far from the Utah state line. It is a great road and J2Blue and I rode it last summer. Lynn and I get out to Gateway Colorado once or twice a year and Moab is a stones throw from there. I know SLC and other towns in Utah are much further but you never know. I am always looking for a new place to explore. Frank |

Ok, I know I'm the "newb" here but having our own logo would be kinda cool. I started thinking about it and threw this together. The bees aren't quite where I wanted them, but you get the idea. What do you think? Criticize away!
(Holy crap, that's a big pic! Sorry!) |

That's pretty creative, I like the blend of the beehive (state trooper type image) with the pegasus. It took me a second to realize what was going on with the wings looking inverted. It's not too big, didn't have to scroll right to see it all. Glad you guys had a good ride, very nice of Bob's wife to send him riding today! I thought about trying to join you all, but when I woke at 1100 I knew I needed more rest as I staggered to the kitchen like I'd been drinking. I'm off this up-coming weekend, so if there's not too much family stuff going on I'll get to meet everybody (Sarah is already making plans for me though, Friday night is booked and she bought a new exhaust fan for the bathroom, I guess that's another present for me to give her... I'll try to get it done this week to keep the weekend open). |

Tickets in hand now and got a close look at where Kerri will be parking her rig. Very nice area. Thanks for the connection Kerri. Nice guy Derrek. Below is another rendition of a Utah forum logo. Not very good at this stuff. Anybody else have an idea. Lets hear some suggestions. I'll probably be asking Blake if he can help as Frank has suggested. Also, I think we need to include all riders, no matter what brand their on which would include some of our own group.
And I still really like Kerri's logo. |

Other ideas of things unique to Utah - Beehive State (Kinda got that one already) Training Base for A-Bomb attacks, although it's apparently illegal to actually detonate one in Utah. Highest per capita consumption of Prozac Home of most deserted stretch of Interstate (70) Highest literacy rate in the nation (now if I only knew what that meant) Don't forget Jello capital of the world Birds have the right of way on Public Highways (bet you didn't know that) Not sure any of this is Logo-worthy, but hey! |
