So I went for a brief ride sunday night down west river pkwy. I get to the Ford lock and dam parking lot check the oil...nothing. So I put the dipstick back in and just a wee bit on the tip. I changed the oil and filter, made sure I put in 2 1/2 quarts. I called St.Paul HD they said bring it in and we'll have a look see. Said it could be one of two things. Either a bad oil pump or a check valve. My money is on the valve. Still under warranty yay! Looks like I'm down for a couple of weeks by the sounds of it. I know I've read something about this problem in BBW before but cant seem to find the thread. Just wondering if this is common to all XB models or just the Ulysses. BTW, Lisa at the service dept was a big help. |

That is talked about on Big Bad and Dirty section seems all the 08's are like that, they check the oil with the engine running. I've checked my 06 with the engine running and it seems to be correct. |
