Brian, I would search high and low for the Buell Touring seat. I've never loved Corbin seats, and I know quite a few people around here (badweb, not central ohio) have had issues with them. |

Brian, I have a Corbin for my Firebolt. I had it on the bike when I rode to last year's Homecoming. I do have an opinion, but without a frame of reference, it would do you no good. A seat is a contact point, therefore personal to the individual. Would you like to borrow the Corbin for a week? That way you could try it commuting, and on your day off, you could try a day tour. That would let you know how 'you' feel with a Corbin. I also have a stock seat & a touring seat for mine, so loaning the Corbin would not be an inconvenience for me. We could meet for breakfast or lunch to get it to you. PM me if you are interested and we'll work out the details. |

Weeble, I was just in your area Saturday. I picked up a little DS80 off some guy for real cheap. It was in Heath off aldine drive or something. |

Jasbiz66, Aldine Drive? Over by the airport? You were about twenty minutes from me. Next time you are in the area, give me warning and we'll meet up. |

Mike, I found a Buell touring seat on eBay...but yowser $350 (used)! You got to me kidding me. Isn't that about twice the price that they went for a year ago new (am kicking myself now for not getting one sooner)?? Grrr. I think I'll take Weeble up on his generous offer to try a Corbin first and see how it works for me. I agree that the choice of saddle is probably as personal as picking a good pair of riding boots that fit well. Another option I found that looks good are Baldwin seats: http://www.motorbikesaddles.com/Buell%201125R%20&% 201125CR%20Seats.htm and they seem to have gotten good reviews. I like the option of a gel insert. The only down side of this is that they build up your stock seat, which has me a bit worried, because if you end up not liking it, you do not have the stock seat to go back to.. |

But at the bottom it has a $50 core charge.... maybe you don't need to send your seat |

By the way I was in AD Farrow northstar today cause Iron Pony didn't have a shirt small enough for my boy (got my daughter one had to get my boy something), anyway there were 2 1125R's in there, a black one and a white and blue like mine. They were in the service area like they were getting something done. Who's bikes are they? |

Jason, the core charge seems to be a deposit for a seat exchange program. They build a seat for you from an R seat that they keep in stock. You send them your OEM seat back for the next person after receiving your Baldwin saddle (a neat idea as you can keep riding). Apparently there is an option to keep your OEM saddle (but had to call for price). I have a CR too, so I guess I'll always have an OEM seat to move around if I go this route. |

Well, since you put it out there... :-) My favorite shop is Body Stain right here in Columbus. They've done all of mine and my wife's tats (with one exception), and all our piercings. Our artist is Carmelo - he's amazing! I don't see anyone from Body Stain on the attending artist list for Hell City though :-( http://bodystain.com/ |

How cool is this: Gravel Road Enduro! Starting point is just east of Zanesville. Ride is a Sunday, with free camping at the starting point Saturday night. http://www.zanesvilletrailriders.com/cabin_fever_1 0.pdf I do believe I will be attending! I plan on leaving Columbus after work on Saturday around 6:00pm and camping there that night. A road chart holder ($22 iron pony) or a tank bag map pocket will be necessary, as well as a digital watch. |

Just signed up to take the Advanced Rider Course on Saturday, May 29. I can't do the Res Ride that weekend, so I'll do this instead. I took the course last year and it's a really good refresher on techniques. This is only my 3rd year riding but I'm planning to continue to take a course of some sort every year to help keep my head screwed on straight. :-) It would be great if Ohio can keep this as a regular course, but it's still in "pilot" mode. One thing they need to do is prove that there's enough demand for it. So if you're going to be in town over Memorial Weekend, consider showing support for these classes. There's still plenty of room in any of the classes those 3 days It's only $25 for a full day of class instruction and skill riding, and well worth the time and nominal expense. https://www.dps.state.oh.us/MOScheduling/Registrat ion_Start.aspx?strCounty=25 |

I was hesitating to join the class again in this year, because I thought many people want to join the class. So I did not steal the seat from them. However, I think I do not need to worry about it! I will adjust my schedule to join the class!! Thanks Bruce for giving the information of the class! |

Any of you locals have some XB signals you pulled from your bike? Maybe when installing LED signals or an XBlights tail light? PM me if so, I'm looking to buy some. |

If you figure things out, I'd love to get a TPS reset on my 05 XB12. Preferably before Homecoming time in June. PM me sometime and we can discuss details. |

L17, Mike, I tuned my engine and reset TPS by myself every times I go to the track day. I know there is a very useful website. but,the website is written in Japanese... and I do not have time to show you how to do it.. I think there is a website which explain ECMSPY in English. -HOW TO CONNECT PC AND BIKE- Connect cable to PC. connect cable to your bike. Pulled off the fuse of head light from bike. Turn on both main and kill switches. Lunch the ECMSPY. Start the engine. Click the "Key" Icon in the ECMSPY window.the icon is located in left upper.(below File). If you can see some parameters in the window has changed. You connect PC and bike successfully. -HOW TO READ THE MAP FROM BIKE- Click EEPROM Click Fetch EEPROM. if you see lots of numbers in the window. You succeed to read the map from your bike. *Save your current map in PC* this is very important. you may mess up your map in the future. so, do not forget to save your original map. -Reset TPS- Engine is off. Connect PC and Bke.(refer above) Do not start Engine yet. Click the "Key" icon In TPS angle window, the number 3 to 5 degrees will appear. This number is your current throttle angle. if you open the throttle, this number will change. Close the throttle valve completely until the angle shows 0 degree. you can anjust throttle angle by turning throttle idle screw. This is located between left side airscoop and engine. Turn this screw 2 or 3 revolutions more to make sure the throttle is closed completely. Click Diagnostic. Click Reset TPS in Function. Turn back the screw until angle will be 5 degrees. Start the engine. adjust the screw to make idling speed stable. Here is the Japanese webpage, you may get ideas from images. there are 21 pages http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/buell_xb12s_2004/folder/1 770072.html?m=lc&p=21 |
