Alright Jaxson, will put you on probation, you got 6mos. to do 500 miles and then your in. We gotta have stiff requirements to keep this club legit. Charlie, I appreciate the kind words and I am a reformed speeder. I'm still paying for the school zone in Bedford incident via insurance. The pleasurable route puts me..."way down upon the Suwanee River," sometime tomorrow, so no rush.  Jaxson, I am indeed proud of you for that mileage summation. Watchout, you might be mistaken for a rider before too long. You might consider towing the bike down to Myrtle Beach for your annual family trip so you can cruise the strip whilst the family slumbers.  Anyhoo, I'm off with the sunrise and on point for the ditch donkey's that the hugger is too sensitive to hunt anymore.  | ||

No photoshop Charlie. The second pic was taken in the Valley. Its starting to explode with green after the stretch of crazy warm weather we've been having. The first pic was up Bent Mt so they should have leaves by July . I'm thinking about hitting Tuggles for a burger and fries and then the old mill a little firther up the parkway on Thursday. Too nice not to go even if it is by myself. I'm waiting on Nuts to get back so he can go with me and Seth on our first outting. I want Seth to see him run like a girl if we cross paths with a Black Rat Snake | ||

I'm gonna make it Charlie. After todays jaunt i'm getting closer and closer to the iron butt club. Headed out early and hit 460. Rode all the way up to Pearisburg, stopped at a greasy spoon for a cheeseburger and fries and then rode back. One stop to eat(had a pinch of snuff afterwards) and one for gas. I tell ya' the bike is more than comfortable enough to do it but it just doesn't feel as fun when you don't stop and take pictures or sit and enjoy the scenery. Oh I tried the antilock brakes out on a nice straightaway after I worked up the nerve. They work as advertised. VERY NICE addition to a motorbike!!! | ||

Jackie, Glad your enjoying your new steed, sounds like you found what you wanted in a motorbike. I like the throttle response and they don't handle half bad once you get used to them.  Now all you need is for the Nuts to get back and he can teach you the finer points of "Iron Butt"n". It's always better to enjoy the ride with a buddy. | ||

I heard the Civic Center was NUTS. Hope you found lots to look at, though what you really need is a camera case for the Roddy-V. I saw a heap of bikes out Saturday. Fair weather and the bikefest thing drug all the machines out from storage. However I kept mine in the shop, shrouded in all its dead bug glory. Would you believe I've got 10k on a set of tires? Crazy... | ||

Yes it was INSANE! Had to have been several thousand bikes there not to mention buses and cars. They were shuttling people not riding motorbikes into the area to allow space for more bikes. Not really your type of thing as it was mostly posing but I sure enjoyed it. I hob knobbed with everyone from the Christian riders to The Pagans MC. Nice pic's Jaxson, wish I could have made the tour with you. Nothing like that close by around here. Well we finally made our first race this year,rider a little rusty and out of shape. Bike was flawless.  Had to pump him up with 5hr. energy drinks, but we made it. Two classes,40+ and open vintage.....Won both heat races(fast time both heats)Botched the start on 40+ and finished 3rd. Vintage Open...Lead from start to finish...not a bad night. Only had a few small parts fall off | ||

Charlie, The Racer tells me I'm in the right spot since he was basking at the ideal den site. Unfortunately softball blew up last night and I got sucked back into coaching this year so I won't get to go back out to see what else is there for another 6 weeks. Another year of getting all worked up over winning or losing games. | ||

Thats a nay my good sir. I gotta meet with the rec club president and the RAYSA director back to back in da morning. I'm not real excited to be coaching again but it was almost worth it to see the former coach and the AD go ballistic last night. Dude the coach stormed off the field dropping f bombs and the AD was threatening to call the police cause I wouldn't leave. It was hilarious! | ||

Honkson, I apologise myself for not clarifying my chosen form of communication. This computer doesn't always get me where I need to be so I rely heavily on the phone for communication. The old laptop just isn't reliable anymore and it takes waaaaaay too long to get the www up more than once a day usually. I've got a favor to ask of ya. Jaxson...........I am totally dis rout, my Gater has not returned from his winter hiatus.  Either the unusually cold winter or the recent construction that may have interrupted his return path, has forced him to find new summer digs. It's like the loss of an "Ole friend". Somehow striking up a friendship with a "Ole mud turtle"(no offence)just doesn't seem the same. |
